i think "we" just get sick of explaining why big box retailer won't go in a space with poor truck access, floorplates, street traffic, etc etc.

Knowledgable cleveland groan #27: Its 200 Public Square and has been for quite a few years. But other than that, I guess I'll let you slide.

Happened to me last week. Went from a two point loser, to a four point winner. but how Terrell Owens got credit for a "pass defended" is beyond me.

City of Cleveland's favorite banks didn't give back , report says
probably went through a formal RFI (request for information process). certified mail, called for confirmation of receipt, blah blah blah. Smells like Chase really didn't care. In contracting, if you don't comply with the RFI, you ain't getting a piece of the pie. (okay I just made that up, sorry).

I also hope (easy for me to say, I'm not doing the work), that someone is keeping track of direct investment in the Silverline pedestrian watershed. (i.e. jobs, housing, etc.)

that is so awesome punch thanks. (Not in the spirit of bashing chicago, but in the spirit of the media being completely "doom and gloom" when 6,000 applied for the SYC walmart)

Was there just three nights ago -- best dive bar in downtown Cleveland. And yes they still use Johnny's kitchen for 1/5th the price. Altought this is W. 6th. Cleats and that place next to The View are good dive bars near E.4th. Thank you, I was trying to give and alternative to people who frequent e. 4th. Thinking about it, Cleats is less divey and more sportsy. But their happy is good ($2 23oz drafts) and their menu is pretty tasty sports bar food at a good price.

if anyone's looking for more of a bar "bar", I always recommend Cleats, at E 2nd and High, behind the greater heights academy.

hey, does anyone know how the editor came up with the subsidy figures for rail, air and transit? Or just give me a subsidy 101 explanation.....

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
point is that Cleveland clearly goes after the big "one-shot" conventions. This isn't a market (nor is any of the midwest) that can afford to splice up conventions.

Campus Martius Christmas Tree (Detroit)
yeah, because that's what all the locals call it. Make sure you get some pictures of ye ol' levert tower down there.

Abandoned Michigan Central Station PART I
Just to add, its so expensive to demolish because of the absurdly sturdy construction. A traditional implosion wouldn't work due to just how sturdy the beast is. Anything would require a piece by piece approach.

if there's one type of show that Cleveland isn't trying to land, its clearly fashion shows. I'm taking about the big ticket conventions (auto, home&garden, NAACP, etc.) Do you think putting a model home in the Q and then a hot tub display in the old Convention center will work? No, the vendors needs one giant space to take advantage of having the consumer all in one area.

Cleveland the 13th most-sober city in America
Dude, I was at the Emory (across from the WAB) Tuesday night, and they had "Great Lakes Seasonal". I asked the server what it was, and she told me it was Xmas Ale and it was 7 bucks because of the high ABV. Whatever, 7 bucks? that's total BS, so I drank labatt instead.
