Help the pope find an apartment!
Potential Neighborhoods: Tremont & Ohio City. I think downtown has priced itself out. Pricepoint is a bit above what I'm looking for and the parking costs component of downtown are also high. I don't need my car daily, but I do have clients across Ohio, and I do travel semi-frequently, so I'd like to keep my car handy without paying parking fees. I don't need you guys to go around searching for me, I'm looking for maybe a specific building recommendation, or a specific landlord which someone can recommend. The clv-lofts people seem to have good properties, but for the most part they seem overpriced. For the most part I've been cruising craiglist, the backpages and plugged in Cleveland. Ohio City's Rental market doesn't seem to be as robust. Or I'm looking in the wrong places. If I were to live in Ohio City, I would want to be moderately close to the action and the rapid station. The one building that seems appealing to me is the West Virginia Building. The High $600s price is about the upper limit for me. Other buildings like the Metzner or Merril seem a bit pricey for my needs. Tremont since its a bit more spread out seems a more likely choice. This is where I have concerns, since there are so many individual landlords. And given Tremont's complexion, its seems there's a bit wider range of available properties. I'm finding mostly individual landlord properties here. I work downtown, so I'm focusing on these areas for their high service by RTA. MyTwoSense, if you recommend Shaker Square, I will ban you.

Cincinnati Reds Discussion
who is this Joey Votto Fellow? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=law_keith&id=3008327&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab2pos1 Joey Votto, 1B, Cincinnati Reds Votto's callup is most notable for the player left behind: Jay Bruce, a contender for the title of No. 1 overall prospect in the minors and the man who probably will force a trade of Adam Dunn this winter. With Votto likely to take over at first base, Josh Hamilton and Ken Griffey Jr. locked into outfield spots, and Ryan Freel under contract -- the only spot for Bruce is in right field, which means the Reds probably will look to trade Dunn. (They also could decline Dunn's option and let him walk as a free agent, but that would be totally irrational. I guess we can't rule it out.) Votto has a skill set similar to that of Scott Hatteberg. The prospect has excellent plate discipline and a bit more power than Hatteberg offers, allowing the Reds to save a few million dollars in 2008 with no loss of production by giving him the first-base job.

the only bad thing I can think of for Ohio State is that this most certainly spells the end of Lloyd Carr (Michigan's Version of Cooper) I said it last year that by Michigan making it to a big bowl game last year, was the worst possible thing for Michigan, because it meant that Carr saved his job for one more year.

West 3rd Parking Deck - Cleveland
if you're going to have a parking structure, might as well have it fill an entire gap, and have street level retail. I'll take it.

Yeah, I think of my time when I lived in Ballston (arlington, orange line) and I look back at historical photos of the area and compare it to what Ballston has turned into. I know its not apples to apples here, but still....
