Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
Having never driven though the E 14th intersection but noticing the timing as a pedestrian, I'm happy to see cars wait. In my experiences, Cleveland drivers are some of the worst in the world when it comes to paying attention to pedestrians (who have the walk signal). I'm no transit planner, but I'm willing to bet these are typical issues that are looked at once everything is up and running.

Jewish Federation of Cleveland weighs move from downtown to Beachwood Friday, August 08, 2008 John Horton Plain Dealer Reporter Warrensville Heights- Stay downtown or go? Officially, the plan called for table-top dialogues held within Northeast Ohio's Jewish community the past two nights to avoid directly asking that question.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
And i was selectively responding to your criticism of another convention center under the belief that they are supposed to make money. See also: Public Transit. Sometimes I like to point out things that people often overlook, or hasn't been stated in the last 43 pages of this thread.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
There's probably a few exceptions, but nearly all Convention centers lose money. Its a public investment to attract other spending (hotel, restaurant, etc.). What happens when you don't have big contiguous space? Larger shows pass you up.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I'm confused. Archangel is saying Joe is a liar, and that ridership is really down. Okay (follow that previous assumption), so if ridership is down, so is revenue, and...drumroll...services have to be cut to cover the shortfall in farebox revenue. Add in the fuel costs issues....voila! And I didn't need a degree from Tri-C to follow that. ----- I feel like you are whining about Joe "lying", and whining about services being cut, but the crux of your argument is that Ridership (see also: Revenue) is down. So what do you expect to happen? Are you Kucinich? Do you live in fairy tale economics land?

USA: "Pork" News & Discussion
Well that's the sad state of affairs...You don't want to break the bank bringing home pork for the Corn Palace, but you gotta bring home the bacon or your constituents will vote you out for not bringing enough money back to the district. And then your voters see their tax money filtering away to Alaska for this and Alabama for that because the politician took the high road.

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
Funny, my sidewalks were nice and wide and lit with walk signals. I rather enjoyed my bike lanes. Zip, zip! I feel like I see more bikers using those than previous (I jog up and down Euclid)....
