  1. if i remember correctly Milan is straight up true Firelands territory, meaning the city was completely settled and founded by those reparations folks from New England.
  2. Actually guys, i just got off the phone with my mom, she won't let me "cross the river" after 5pm.
  3. I was at the game and Fausto was electric, great start for him. Still, I'm happy went sent up a guy for his major league debut (straight from AA Erie) and he kept us in the game. Don't worry, our young arms just keep coming.
  4. ^hopefully most people haven't forgotten about them during the ECP construction
  5. isn't there a smug sense of satisfaction when your hometown bank buys up others?
  6. I'll see if I can make it.
  7. oh, god can you imagine the court papers and counts of infringement, the f-ing document would be 17,000 counts. (arbitrary number that is less than your total posts)

i've seen some interesting ones, but what is "mss"? its frequently in bold/larger font.....
  9. we already have a thread for "If i had a $$ dollars......." Okay, continuing back to the euclid corridor........... Htsguy, I tell you what, you come up with the millions of dollars necessary to build a 515 tower, and guarantee me a positive ROI, and I'll gladly build you a f-ing taj mahal on that box so grand it'll make bill gates look like a pauper (not directly at you, more of a dear john to the forum)

I love how no matter how hard you try, you always look like a retarded yellow army man in any rafting photo. I have one of myself that my friends still bring up (sadly, in a purple helmet)
  11. I just love how quickly we are to spend a developer's money.

If anyone even thinks of criticizing haphazardly the other 9 cities listed, enjoy your week off. I will not sit around and babysit this thread. (instead, pat your self on the back and have a Cleveland+LoveFest
  15. I actually advocate the MTS approach, write this asshat a letter! Dick Feagler: Parking in downtown Cleveland is an exercise in urban pioneering Wednesday, August 15, 2007 Dick Feagler Plain Dealer Columnist Alady called me the other day and told me a night mare story about parking downtown. Lots of us have those. Downtown parking is not user-friendly. It costs a lot. And even if you pay your ticket, well, sometimes the "exit" gate is mysteriously closed. So you feel trapped. And have to scurry around for a way out. http://www.cleveland.com/news/plaindealer/dick_feagler/index.ssf?/base/opinion-0/1187167928257600.xml&coll=2

maybe the world is your oyster, but ideally what field/type of firm would you end up at?
  17. I'm just thinking this isn't exactly a slam dunk real estate market in downtown cleveland. (park building, how far are we along?) The last thing you would want as a marketer would be one more thing to discourage sales. (disclaimer, i have never marketed a real estate property in my life)
  18. just a thought, would you think it fun to market the 515 condo tower during the apocalyptic euclid construction phase?
  19. more "potential" locations, more consulting fees. Edsiou, final warning on personally attacking forumers. Correction Edit: You too MTS
  20. i also get the feeling that the trip planner doesn't have the B and E lines incorporated.....
  21. i feel like edsiou thinks you can just find a Model T lying in the junkyard, fill up the gas tank and off you go!
  22. you guys can debate the brookings numbers all you want (oh wait, we already did back in the day). But until a better report comes along, I'm willing to accept the brookings numbers without each of us naming off a bunch of census tracts and then running the numbers ourselves. And yes the geographic sizes of the dowtnown's varies for each city. How about this, you guys actually read the report instead tossing around excuses for Cleveland's low number. (and yes, for some odd reason brookings gave Detroit's downtown an absurdly large land area, but for the most part their "downtowns" were relatively correct IMO)
  23. based on interactions from her office over the last few years. Back on Subject
  24. I'm going off of the brookings report for population (remember they use a always changing definition of downtown, not the 1 mile rule or anything like that) (based on 2000 census) Chicago: 72k Detroit: 36k Minneapolis: 30k Indianapolis 18k Milwaukee: 16k Cleveland: 9599 I'd love for you to find a report detailing downtown office worker populations. And yes I realize people have their issues with the brookings report, but I'm willing to go more with their report than some C-dawg method picking census tracts at random
  25. There, corrected your post. Ha ha! Thats for sure. What a waste of space she is. Have either of the two of you told her that? Had a conversation with her? Communicated in any way with her? I have met her and her office numerous times, that is the basis for my hatred (and look at her absent voting record, she's routinely in the top 99% of not showing up for votes in congress)
