now if we can just do something about the pigeon flock (or whatever the plural is). I swear to god, today seemed like a scene from The Birds, with approximately 30-40 pigeons swooping in around the land around Moses.- Useless Yet Interesting Random Facts

i'm mad hafner is still in the division for the next four years. I was really hoping Dolan/Shapiro would really drop the ball on this one. Well they still have time to live up to expectations on CC....- Where is Home?
Jersey is gross - the place has a "state smell" Those Bridge and Tunnel [AKA B&T's] people should be checked for communicable diseases at toll booths prior gaining access to the city. meanwhile, someone on a New Jersey Forum is bashing Ohio as a conservative hick town farmland flyover country.- Cleveland: Filling in Euclid Avenue

^hey at least you guys have something covering your head during the winter/rain. On the green line, we get a nice pretty bus shelter. Singular, holding two to three people (not exaggerating for those who don't ride the green)- Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Cool. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the evaluations of the traffic modeling results. My suspicion is that all traffic-related decisions are based on the busiest one hour each day, the other 23 hours bedamned. It's really hard for me to accept that a street pattern can't be changed because suburban Joe-blow will have to sit through another light cycle. Hope I'm wrong. why not, that's how parking lots are designed! (i.e. mall parking lot capacity to hold vehicles for the day after Christmas) okay that's a bit inaccurate, but you get what i mean- Cleveland: Filling in Euclid Avenue

Just to add on, but there was an article somewhere on the forum back a few months ago mentioning how approximately 5-10% of the downtown residential population is owner occupied (for sale, condo, or however you say it).- Cleveland: Demolition Watch

Theoretically, I'd love for MM to run the cc. A for-profit enterprise will be motivated to bring in as much business as possible. Is this done in other cities? I'm fairly sure that convention centers need subsidies to run. Just think about how often they are used/filled and how often they sit vacant. Like Monday through thursday of even the busiest season. (again, pope reiterates, let a casino build one and operate it, they will gladly operate it at a loss assuming its connected to their casino)- Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I'm not an economist, but my smell test tells me that it cant be that cheap. Hell one of the best systems around (WMATA), that could probably support the ridership still doesn't operate trains past 1am (last I remember, its been a few years)- Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District

I've always heard its important to ask incessant questions during a walk through, i.e. "does the roof leak, do any pipes leak, etc." Because if they say no, and were misrepresenting the property, free money to fix it!- Cleveland Cavs Discussion
