Below is my recent letter to John Barrow: With all due respect to your courage in building the magnificent QCS in difficult economic times, I am compelled to say the following: The tiara looks very much like a bird cage without the bird. Have you seen the building from Devou Park in Ky? You should ,you know, because the tiara is barely visible. The tiara should be filled in with some kind of sheet metal with a non-white color. Also, an observation deck should have been planned before construction began. But why not make one or two rooms near the top into an observation deck?!! The expense would be worth it, and Cincinnatians and out-of -towners would be eternally grateful. The tower does much for the Cincinnati skyline, and you are to be congratulated for building such a beautiful building> Regards, Jack Geis

Several of you guys should get together and contact WS and air your complaints and suggestions..I have done this by myself but with no positive results.

QCS ,also being farther away in the picture than Carew, would naturally look slightly shorter...beautiful shots, thanks!!!

I attended the QCS ceremony today and then viewed Cincy from Devou park. Some bigger cities have larger skylines, but the Cincinnati skyline takes second place to none! The enhanced skyline with Mt. Adams and other surrounding hills in Cincinnati and in Ky, along with the curving river...beautiful as well as picturesque!! The view of downtown with QCS in the foreground, from Mt. Adams near Rookword is also magnificent.

What Rob Alpern has to say about tiara lighting: White light, from both inside and outside. The rest of the tower will feature various uplighting on the façade. Exterior lighting won’t start until late this year.

The building is definitely not ugly, but it could have been more slender. It will (to me) be a very welcome addition to the skyline.

Whatever happened to the planned 1000 foot "needle" that was to be built next to the Freedom Bell in Newport?

I don't see any tiara construction from the view of the webcam looking S.E.
