Can anyone tell me why the NAACP, of all organizations, is opposed to the streetcar project? It would go right through OTR and stimulate more business and activity in that region.

Thanks for all of your answers...I still wonder about the drunk or drug addict getting on the streetcar; but I suppose this could be a possibility on bus lines at any stop!

I fully support the streecar, but I must admit that I have some concern about passing through OTR, even though much development is going on. Can someone put my mind at ease? Thanks!

One would think the construction tower would be raised in the very near future!

Word has it that exterior work on the building that has the webcam looking down on the site has temporarily disrupted the use of the device....and that this has been frustrating to everyone.

Someone on this blog said they were going to contact some agency responsible for the webcam that has recently been removed...any update on this....being out of town I don't often get to view the site.

YEs, for now, that webcam on top of the building is still down.

The webcam has come down for window washing, and will be down for some time.

i read somewhere where some major sky scrapers are being foreclosed and are being sold at a fraction of their original value. I wonder if this would have an impact on the continued construction of QCS.

I wish we could see the site via web cam. The original disappeared, and Carter?Dawson gave me a vague reply to my question, by saying that "sometime" they will have a webcam at the site.

I agree with you, but I thought I had heard differently.

are additional "floors" of the core added at the top or the bottom? I would believe it very difficult to add floors at the bottom, as you would have to jack up the entire core each time you added a floor.
