Good News But what are they planning for 150,000 Don't they need millions. Are they planning to put in seats.
  2. Are they still expecting a June 08 move-in for the first round of tenants?

Thanks that was a nice ballpark. Hopefully they can get this restored and use it for something like CSU baseball or even Independent Minor League baseball.

I always wanted to see League Park, but I never did. Today I was in the Clinic area so on my way back I was determined to find League Park. It is a Skeleton of the Grandstand/ticket office and a grassy field. Does anyone know what the restoration plans are? Are they going to try to turn this into a Baseball Field for actual games or will this be a museum. By the way does anyone know the seating capacity of league park? This park sits exactly on the corner of the street.
  5. Does anyone have a picture of the Dollar Bank building?
  6. Exactly why is Stark having problems in prospective office lease negotiations which have him going in a slightly different direction whereas Price is talking to 5-6 prospective tenants for his Ameritrust project and he claims things are going well. So what is it? Was Stark asking too much per square foot?
  7. Price Lease negotiations going well. - We're in discussions now with five or six tenants, and it's going really well," Doug Price, K&D's chief executive officer, said Wednesday. Click on map to download PDF.Price, whose plans include about 325,000 square feet of offices, a hotel, homes and shops, said there is room for both projects. The Jacobs-Hines building focuses squarely on offices - with just 4,800 square feet of street-level retail and an attached, three-level parking garage to the west. The glass-framed building, designed by global architecture firm Gensler, will have a two-story entrance and lobby facing east toward Public Square. http://blog.cleveland.com/business/2008/05/jacobs_hines_to_build_21story.html
  8. We could build that 65 Story Signature Building Right across the street on that vacant Stark parcel. That parcel is basically public square.
  9. CB Ellis thinks this building is gorgeous. Chandler Converse, a CB Richard Ellis vice president and specialist in representing tenants, said the partnership between the much-vaunted Hines and locally powerful Jacobs Group would be a potent combination because of their office expertise. “The building is gorgeous and would be very efficient,” Mr. Converse said. “It is ideally suited for law firms, service firms and banking concerns http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20080528/FREE/330573416/1089/newsletter23
  10. Simplythis, do you have a link for this blurb? I wonder if this means the hotel/residential portion will not be LEED certified? Is it even possible to LEED certify a refurbishment, and one of this scale at that? With the announcement of the 1 Hotel in the Flats, and all of the other sustainable/green energy efforts going on in town, that would be disappointing. Just think of it, with the 1 and this project's TBD hotel, Cleveland could become noted for its "green hotel" sector. http://www.crainscleveland.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080526/SUB1/718288372
  11. Another Green Office Building. - Doug Price, CEO of Willoughby-based K&D Group, said his company is planning the office tower proposed for part of the former Ameritrust headquarters site to meet green standards. “It's really big, and it's going to get bigger,” Mr. Price said of the green trend. “Being green is all my 13-year-old daughter talks about. It's the smart thing to do from the energy standpoint.” A spokesman for Robert L. Stark Enterprises of Cleveland said it also plans for its downtown project near Public Square to meet green standards.
  12. I as most posters am a little disappointed. I was hoping for a signature 70 story mixed use building for this parcel. However since there is so much competion and it appears that we could get all 4 major projects off the ground ( FEB, Stark, Jacobs & K&D Ameritrust ) I would settle for a scaled down version versus nothing. Here's hoping that he could get a couple leases that would allow him to do an expanded project just as FEB did. FEB started as a 220 million dollar project and grew to a 530 million. Here's hoping that this project can do the same. He would have to get leases that would start at the end of 2012 or later if he is to build a larger building and I don't know if any of these tenants could wait an extra 1 or 2 more years for a larger building.

  14. Vegas - Schnieder working on Phase 2 at Vegas Convention. Tough times may make deals scarce at shopping center convention http://blog.cleveland.com/business/2008/05/tough_times_may_make_deals_sca.html Posted by Michelle Jarboe May 18, 2008 03:17AM Categories: ICSC, Impact, Real estate, Retail -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Plain Dealer reporter Michelle Jarboe will report all week from Las Vegas. • Read her blog or subscribe to her RSS feed See which companies are going to the show -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The glitz of the Strip aside, the mood in Las Vegas could be somewhat somber today as commercial real estate professionals converge on the city for the industry's largest annual gathering. Money is tight. Deals are tougher to swing. Developers are reconsidering projects. Barely a week seems to go by without a major retailer going belly up. And consumers, fearing recession and feeling pressure from rising prices for fuel and food, are cutting back. All that uncertainty, developers say, makes this week's deal-making conference more important than ever. Read More...
  15. So you give Stark 0 % chance , Because even if Jacobs started building in the Fall 08 it would take 3 years to complete which would take us to Fall 2011
  16. Does anyone know if there is going to be an announcement Tommorow? Hopefully there is because I surely hope that we all did not get too excited over some insde information.
  17. Does anyone have a picture of the tenk building
  18. Jacobs, Stark are part of a downtown TIF District plan to be possibly announced later this week. More info in the stark pesht thread
  19. Are they seeking a downtown-wide TIF District which could be used by all developers such as K&D Ameritrust Tower Or are they seeking a downtown-wide TIF which would be available only for their projects
  20. I know it's only a rendering but I don't like it
  21. The market is shrinking, E & Y goes to FEB, does Stark sign somebody or is this project scaled down or is it dead?
  22. With E & Y going to FEB who does Doug Price sign up for his proposed office building?
  23. Does anyone have a link to the old proposal that came out for this warehouse district site. I'd like to review it before i make a decision. I vaguely remember a large building on that site that seemed to tower over everything else in the whd.
