  1. The hospital is having a hard time staffing it and filling beds, its at like 40% occupancy
  2. Seems they're growing stronger and closer

  4. It makes no sense politically to address it if you have no means of preventing it
  5. What site are you referencing? Can we look at cities beyond Cleveland proper?
  6. It's unfortunate because this guy poured millions into the place assuming the license was a mere formality.
  7. Anyone know if the reason behind the Tomo delayed opening has to do with a battle between Joe Cimperman and the owner over a liquor license? Apparently Cimperman is against granting this after hearing the top floors would include dance clubs. I heard this the other day, but I didn't think one councilman had that much power.
  8. Are you able to just demo walls like that in a historical landmark?
  9. The first question that needs to be asked is what's the objective here? Is this a straight up rebranding? Then we would want to take an approach similar to the Vegas "what happens here, stays here" campaign. Or are we more interested in driving more people to move here? Or is it something else, more economically-driven? increasing tourism? Convincing businesses to relocate? Depending on how we answer this, our approach would be radically different.
  10. Cost of living and by extension quality of life would be central to anything I'd suggest
  11. They ran that DCA Downtown - is it for you? Spot during the browns game and I have to say, all the people around me, many from the burbs, were quite smitten with it
  12. ^I don't understand your point. Are you saying these areas aren't connected already? Certainly not in the literal sense. If you are talking about robust development linking all these neighborhoods, that is a tall order to ask any one project to spur.
  13. Another historic Euclid building comes down? Sigh when will we learn
  14. You would need a huge amount of predictable traffic to guarantee the impressions and subsequent investment. My guess is that it would be a challenge. Even places like the tower city rapid station garner little attention.

  19. Hi everyone, Quick question that I am hoping someone knows more about. There was a guy that sets up a stand in various places that features old photos from I believe the Cleveland Press. The photos are in postcard or 8.5" x 11" sizes and predominantly all in B/W. I've bought several from him before, I think from maybe within Tower City when they have their Marketplace Friday events. Does anyone know any more specifics about this guy? Is there a website? Does he have a brick & mortar location? I am trying to buy several more for an event. Thanks
  20. The way I see it, this year will take about 90 wins to win the division. Including, and assuming a win tonite, currently up 7-2, they would need to go 35-18 the rest of the way. Just my opinion, but here is how they can reasonably get there: Texas:3-3 Detroit: 7-5 Minn: 6-3 Chi: 7-4 Sea: 4-1 KC: 5-1 Oak: 3-1
  21. A rumor is flying tribe will go 6 starters masterson, Tomlin, Jimenez, carmona, huff, carasco
