  1. I don't think it looks bad at all.
  2. I should be excited about April 5th but........ Am I the only one that is burned out on this whole subject?
  3. That's all I wanted to know. I wanted to know whether or not I'd have to put up with 'section 8' crap or not. Thanks Kendall. This is great news. I'll be looking into these.
  4. Just curious, and I really don't want to start anything here, but.... Are these low-income housing or are these available to everyone? Cause I gotta tell ya, these places look 10 times better than the box I own, and if their only for low-income people, then I am gonna be pissed. I'm just tired of the whole: If your rich... you can afford it. If your poor.... it's given to you. ........but........... If your in the middle your screwed. I would really be interested in moving done there some day, but if it's going to turn into ghetto again 10 years from now, then forget it.
  5. O.K. I just took it wrong. To me it read as if they were talking about single car garages and such. The garages their talking about are still underground. I just got a little confused. Thanks guys.
  6. Sorry, I still don't see them. Are they the buildings added to the park area?
  7. Ummm? Where in the hell would these fit in to the current rendering? :?
  8. I'd rather have the fountain square "Cincinnati" sign than the one that is currently on the Convention Center. I think this one looks nice. The one on the convention center is just, I don't know.........weird looking. ( At least during the day.)
  9. Sounds good to me!
  10. I just don't see why the city shouldn't have a say in this. However , I do think it was kinda retarded of the city to threaten to pull money out of the project if the county didn't agree to the ordinance. That would ( and did ) cause static. My point is that this is not the same city council as we have had in the past, and it looks as if there is a mutual understanding between them ( this is something we're not used to ). I think the city just want's to have a voice in the project, so if things look like they may be going in a different direction, they can say " wait a minute, this isn't what was planned. We never agreed to a WAL-MART at THE BANKS". :-o We have a new city council and mayor. All of them seem to want to work together and with the county on this project. So even though the threat was stupid, I still don't see why the county doesn't want to work with the city.
  11. Hamilton County Commissioners = Is it just me, or are the commissioner's getting under everyone else's skin too? Here we are. We finally have a city council that's worth a damn and seem to see things eye to eye. But NOOOOOO, the commissioner's gotta f*** everything up. Like usual. IMO: City Council :-D Hamilton County Commissioners :x
  12. That's 6 month's for county government to bitch and complain about it for some stupid reason. Another 6 month's for city government to bitch and complain about county government bitching and complaining. And 2 years for actual construction. I know the two government's probably have nothing to do with QCS, but I thought I'd say it anyway.
  13. Check out this link: http://www.skyloop.org/ Does anyone remember this? I think they proposed it when Cincinnati was bidding for the 2012 Olympics. I personally liked this more than trains, that is if you have a small family.
  14. O.K. O.K. I watched the video again. I could kinda tell how it might grow on you. This thing will look 100% better at night, so maybe they could put a huge bag over it during the daytime. If the vertical section in the middle displays designs like they had in the video, then that does make it pretty interesting. I just can't get past the big CUBE that hangs over the side, it makes the whole thing ugly to me. So when they have the lights on at night, maybe they could leave the lights OFF in the big CUBE.
  15. How much you do you wanna bet? Hell, there were people complaining about the Queen City Square design. This building will definitely give Louisville a new identity and here it is in a conversation: Person 1: "I'm going to Louisville this weekend." Person 2: "Louisville? Oh, that's the city with the ugly skyscraper." Person 1: " Yeah, that's the one." I think building a 700 ft. tower in the shape of a baseball bat would be much better. Anyway, how much talent does it really take to design something like this? As a matter of fact, I think they probably came across their kids playing with building blocks, and said, " Oh my god!! That's our next design!!!" Note to OHIO cities- Don't hire this architect!!!
  16. Holy crap!!! I didn't know I lived in Michigan. :drunk: Get it? Detroit? Oh, never mind.
  17. Take all the violent offenders and put them in front of a firing squad. :shoot: Problem solved.
  18. A circus is better than dirt!
  19. Concrete is better than dirt!
  20. HEY, WHAT THE HELL IS MY WIFE DOING IN THIS MAGAZINE!!!!!! :-o
  21. Come on guys, you had to have noticed by now that this is what Cincinnati ( hell the whole country ) is all about. The complaint's of the few ruin it for everyone else. It seems that it is the same 1% ( if that ) of the population that is always bitching about things like this. So I suggest that the rest of us 99% chip in to buy a small corner of the country for these people to live. That way they can have everything just the way they want it : no T.V.'s , Magazines, guns, video games or whatever else they complain about. OR they could just become AMISH and live that way. All I know is that these people really piss me off. They evidently don't believe in freedom of anything.
  22. Looking at those pics, I can't help but think that they have missed an opportunity to make some money here. Here's my sales pitch: " FRUSTRATED?....ANGRY ABOUT WORK OR JUST LIFE IN GENERAL? ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A WAY TO JUST LET IT ALL OUT? WELL HERE'S YOUR CHANCE!!!!!!! For $50 you can spend an hour BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF 'FOUNTAIN SQUARE'!!!!!!!!! You will go home a new person. So, bring the friends.....hell, bring the family... you won't regret it. " Come on, you have to admit it feels good to tear things up every once in a while. I'm re-doing the walls in my living room and it felt good putting the hammer through that old piece of crap plaster wall.
  23. Are you saying you live downtown and work in the suburbs? Wow, it's usually the other way around isn't it? Damn, that rush hour drive has to suck. I feel for you.
