That's just it. I don't think his caucus lets Boehner 'play his cards'.... if that is the term you want to use. They gave him no cards to play. Until their backs were against the wall, they wouldn't agree to any compromise whatsoever. Nor would they spell out their own plan to reduce spending in any meaningful way. What is the plan anyway? Where SPECIFICALLY are these cuts supposed to come from? They won't cut defense (in fact, they want to increase it). They won't cut medicare or social security in any way that would result in significant savings. Maybe you can SPECIFICALLY outline where these SIGNIFICANT cuts are supposed to come from? If you say welfare, I am sending you back to 4th grade arithmetic

I didn't use the word 'innacurate'..... but I would bet the farm that it is misleading at best. You can't know if one side of the story is innacurate if you don't have the other side...... and, more importantly when looking at short quotes supposedly made during the course of closed door negotiations, if you don't have the one thing that the conservative media likes to leave out - CONTEXT. The undisputed fact is that nobody came out of this mess looking worse than Boehner. He has a lot of exposure and is in damage control mode. He needs someone to point the finger at. In his heart of hearts, I honestly believe he wants to b!tchsmack many members of his own caucus who make his job so difficult. But he can't do that publicly, so he aims for the easier targets and the WSJ provides him with the platform t take his shots.

  7. And that's the second time in the past few days I thought something was finally moving with this project

^More like recaps much of the 'inner debate' as Boehner would like to paint it. You can always count on the WSJ for a 'in depth' one sided story.
  9. ^^why would he pay $30m for it and then not develop it?

Lewis played well. No doubt about that. But you have to keep in mind that the Steelers had no real game film on him. They didn't have anything to let them know what his tendencies and "tells" were. He did seem to be a better fit for Shurmur's offense because he has the feet to play under center, even on obvious passing downs. His downfield ball did not seem great, though....... and he threw off his backfoot at points throughout the game, one of those throws resulting in the Palamalou INT. Re the coaching search, all this Chip Kelly talk makes me nervous. I'm not sure he would translate to the NFL. It definitely would be a swing for the fences.... I'll give them that.

8Titles..... I accounted for all subsequent trades from the Julio pickp. I believe the end result was Taylor, Little and Weeden. You can argue it either way...... point being, it doesn't appear to be either a steal or that we got jobbed. Probably a win win for both teams. I'm withholding judgment on Weeden until I see him in a real NFL system. Believeland..... yes, O'Brien

I'm warming to the idea of Bill O'Neil

You can't say RGIII and Julio are misses unless you dismiss what we have in their place. If we take Julio, we wouldn't have picked Phil, who is every bit as good as Julio IMO.... we also picked up Little and the pick we used on Weeden. To take RGIII, we wouldn't have Trent, we wouldn't have had this year's 2nd rounder which we used to pick Gordon in the supplemental, we wouldn't have our 1st rounder this year and probably not one for 2014 either given the fact that we had to outbid Washington. Not saying I wouldn't love to have either player, but it is not like the year we passed on Ed Reed to take Willie Green. Id also consider that Julio is usually guarded by the 2nd best CB, not being Atlanta's #1 WR..... and RGIII has the benefit of Shanahan's system..... we all saw what a rookie QB (Cousins) can do in that system

I can't think of an organization that went heavy into free agency and it worked out. Buffalo spent big$ on Mario Williams and didn't do squat. The Redskins for years on end always picked up the top free agents and that never really worked. Philadelphia went all in two years ago and have nothing to show for it. Just sayin....

I was with this thought process, but I think the hiring of Pat Shurmur was/is unforgiveable. It never made sense from Day 1. He did a great job with the draft, but if you think about it, he didn't have that high of a standard working against him. It is not that hard to "not miss" in the first round...... yet, that was the only thing we seemed to be able to do consistently before Heckert arrived.

    Awaiting press release.....
  19. I don't like the comparison. Uptown was not a deadzone at the edge of the action..... it was semi-dead zone centrally located in the middle of the action, located along the Healthline, and in any area which was already somewhat saturated with residents. Uptown was infill in UC while Upper Chester would largely be an expansion of UC's effective footprint.
  20. No it's on the east end of the rest of the buildings you can see it when you look to your right when your facing the town homes. I saw it while on the rapid past East 120 street so I couldn't snap a pic Do you mean the West end? i.e. into the parking lot going towards Mayfield? I know that Circle 118 is building more units immediately to the east of the existing units. I am trying to imagine where Coltmant 27 would expand to the east/Euclid..... maybe on the other side of Coltman? It may have been the west end I said east because I was riding eastward towards Windermere and they were on the farthest end of the direction I was headed. While riding on the Red Line, was the new construction on your left or right?

I had to post this one I got through e-mail yesterday :-D...... Dear Santa, How are you? How is Mrs. Claus? I hope everyone, from the reindeer to the elves, is fine. I have been a very good boy this year. I would like an X-Box 360 with Call of Duty IV and an iPhone 4 for Christmas. I hope you remember that come Christmas Day. Merry Christmas, Timmy Jones * * Dear Timmy, Thank you for you letter. Mrs. Claus, the reindeer and the elves are all fine and thank you for asking about them. Santa is a little worried all the time you spend playing video games and texting. Santa wouldn't want you to get fat. Since you have indeed been a good boy, I think I'll bring you something you can go outside and play with.* Merry Christmas,* Santa Claus*** * * Mr. Claus, Seeing that I have fulfilled the "naughty vs. Nice" contract, set by you I might add, I feel confident that you can see your way clear to granting me what I have asked for. I certainly wouldn't want to turn this joyous season into one of litigation. Also, don't you think that a jibe at my weight coming from an overweight man who goes out once a year is a bit trite? Respectfully, Tim Jones * * Mr. Jones, While I have acknowledged you have met the "nice" criteria, need I remind you that your Christmas list is a request and in no way is it a guarantee of services provided. Should you wish to pursue legal action, well that is your right. Please know, however, that my attorney's have been on retainer ever since the Burgermeister Meisterburger incident and will be more than happy to take you on in open court. Additionally, the exercise I alluded to will not only improve your health, but also improve your social skills and potentially help clear up a complexion that looks like the bottom of the Burger King fry bin most days. Very Truly Yours, S Claus * * Now look here Fat Man, I told you what I want and I expect you to bring it. I was attempting to be polite about this but you brought my looks and my friends into this. Now you just be disrespecting me. I'm about to tweet my boys and we're gonna be waiting for your fat ass and I'm taking my game console, my game, my phone, and whatever else I want. WHAT EVER I WANT, MAN! T-Bone * * Listen Pizza Face, Seriously??? You think a dude that breaks into every house in the world on one night and never gets caught sweats a skinny G-banger wannabe? "He sees you when you're sleeping; He knows when you're awake". Sound familiar, genius? You know what kind of resources I have at my disposal. I got your sh!t wired, Jack. I go all around the world and see ways to hurt people that if I described them right now, you'd throw up your Totino's pizza roll all over the carpet of your mom's basement. You're not getting what you asked for, but I'm still stopping by your crib to stomp a mud hole in your a$$ and then walk it dry. Chew on that, Petunia. S Clizzy * * Dear Santa, Bring me whatever you see fit. I'll appreciate anything. Timmy * * Timmy, That's what I thought you little bastard. Santa

Earlier in the season, I would have had the same take. But Little has legitimately turned a corner. He hasn't had a drop since getting his pep talk from Zo. His YAC has gone up and he's been used effectively with the reverse. But what could make him an ideal #2 is his blocking ability, both at the line of scrimmage and in the open field. He still has a lot of room to grow. He was a RB in HS and really only played WR full time one year at UNC.
  24. ^The school district hired Weston as a consultant. I don't think there is much more to read into it, other than this pretty much eliminates the possibility of Weston winning any bid for a new HQs
