It won't, because the price per sq foot difference will still be there. You don't want to know what you have to pay for one of those tiny apartments in SF or NYC

US Economy: News & Discussion
If you already know all this stuff and you know all the places I go. Why even visit this thread? You don't add much information for people to review? You make general comments, tell people they wear tinfoil hats and that you know their political opinions. And if you really want to have a political discussion start another thread and go for it. Plus, its apparent you would be surprised who I vote for. If you find it useless just don't click on the button that sends you to this thread. Apparently some people find this thread of some interest. It has almost 231,000 reads. Add in the original housing/recession thread that had about 250,000 view (if I remember correctly) and you have almost 500,000 reads. And the overwhelming majority of those views probably came from people who were looking for the substantive discussion that is interjected between your bolded and underlined doom and gloom projections. This is actually the first time I think I realized you started this thread. At least I have some idea as to where you get your sense of entitlement towards its contents.

I'm sure the moderators will control the discussion, if necessary. No one poster gets to choose its direction or tone. Here's where I think you run into problems here, ragerunner. This board is comprised of a fairly well-informed and highly educated group. We all know how to access the three news sites you routinely and selectively stream into the thread. Most of us purposely avoid the slanted/bias sites you also reference on occassion. We all are generally aware of global economic conditions and the general forecast. You really don't have to regurgitate the same data points month after month, especially when your viewpoint of the topic is already well-documented and known. As has been mentioned many times, this is a discussion forum, not a blog. By turning it into a blog, your political undertones, as much as you might want to deny them, are not nearly as subtle as you think they are.

I'll start bemoaning the coaches heading for a better situation and paycheck when the players start honoring their own 4-year commitment.

US Economy: News & Discussion
Cross-posted this chart here - http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,28021.new.html#new. Again, this goes to the point that whatever our economic problems are, they are the result of long-term trends which we must first find a way to reverse if there is any hope or possibility of returning to the type of growth people seem to think just occurs naturally through the free market....

US Economy: News & Discussion
Serious question now because I have read a bit about the fears of smaller banks and arguments in favor of exempting them from the Act all together. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the overwhelming majority of regulations attached to Dodd-Frank do not apply to institutions with less than $50 billion in assetts. Is it that the Act limits some of the profits smaller banks made from things such as debit card transactions? What specifically are their concerns when they come to you?

Cleveland: Downtown: The 9 / Rotunda / County Admin Development
I was kind of hoping that the County would just sell the tower and hang onto the Rotunda.... especially if the plan is to consolidate its offices in the Huntington Bldg. I suppose it is not out of the question that whomever buys the complex leases the Rotunda back to the County. If the County were to consolidate into the Huntington and somehow also find a use for the Rotunda, that opens up the possibility for some discussion on a skybridge running between the two structures (*ducks*)

^It's not a house and never was, I believe. There are separate unit built within. I wish that the landmark designation somehow required the addition to be removed.

Fascinating. For old school colonization, see the Nile River in Egypt (keep in mind that turns into the Delta toward the north). For more..... ummmm.... modern colonization, see the I-85 corridor between Raleigh and Atlanta. The Cleveland/Akron/Canton/Youngtown/Pittsburgh/Charleston cluster is indeed interesting. Columbus looks a bit lonely. Too bad we didn't capitalize on the opportunity for the 1/71 corridor to potentially connect

^That's odd.... when my car was rummaged through a year or two ago, the knife that I keep on my visor was about all the thief took. Glad to hear he found his car. It was literally on the street?- Cleveland Cavs Discussion
What annoys me even more is the current trend of waiting to see if the ball goes in before the ref decides if he/she is going to blow the whistle. If it's a foul, it's a foul and should be called. Whether or not the ball rims out should have no effect on whether a foul occured. The same thing happens with contact by the sideline (i.e. if the player falls out of bounds it is a foul, but not a foul if he stays in bounds). I understand the latter a little more because you want to do what you can to not slow down the game with too many breaks in the action.- Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
I'm not sure you will find an analogous local example. The County has never had a fire sale of its properties before, and has never sold a property such as Breuer which has such a negative backstory to it that the County simply has to get as much positive spin out fo the redevelopment as possible just to save some face.- Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Hard for him to finish around the rim when the defenders know they can hack him to death without the whistle blowing. Dion must have called some ref a c#cks#cker or something unforgivable earlier in the season. I understand that rookies usually don't get all of the calls they should, but the refs have definitely been swallowing their whistle everytime Dion gets near the rim.- Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
^Atlantic Yards?- Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
They don't even need probable cause. Reasonable suspicion will suffice for a stop and frisk as approved by the infamous State v. Terry case which eminated from a stop and frisk in downtown Cleveland by a cop who didn't have 'probable cause'.... although his experience and training gave him the suspicion that they were casing a jewelry store for a possible robbery. That said, the 'questions' (valid or not) about the origins of the chase in no way challenge the ability of the cops to engage in such a chase if their report is correct. But I think people are suspicious for the reason that there is no evidence, other than the cops' word, that a gun was ever fired inside or from that car. No shell casings were found in the car or the immediate area. The gun has still not been recovered. I don't think any autopsy reports have been released yet, but it will be telling whether either of the suspects has gun powder residue on their persons. Another inquiry needs to be made as to why the suspects were downtown at or near the justice center. A catastrophic bomb would be dropped if, for instance, one or both of the suspects was there to report some type of police misconduct or if there were some other type of shady dealings between the police and the suspects. TO BE CLEAR, there is NOTHING to indicate any of the latter concerns at this point. The continuation of the chase, even without considering the order to cease and desist, probably raises more valid concerns. There is no easy answer for cops when they have to decide to either keep pursuing at high rates of speed(at the risk of injury to the public) or call of the chase and let the suspects get away (at the risk of injury to the public). I find that people are often surprised at how often and under what circumstnaces, police are trained to not pursue.- Cleveland Cavs Discussion
With Kyrie and Dion out, they really don't have anybody who can penetrate and break down a defense. As a result, their FG% and PPG have suffered. Before Dion got hurt, he was in a bit of a shooting slump, but his penetration and passing were showing remarkable improvement. In all honesty, he's probably a better overall passer than Kyrie..... although Kyrie is more likely to pull of the spectacular pass.- US Economy: News & Discussion

Andy is 30. He can't do what he does for much longer. The guy is going to lose a step is the coming years when, if all goes as planned, we MIGHT be ready to compete. Don't get me wrong. I am more on the fence than my posts my suggest with the idea of trading Andy. On the one hand, you want to maximize his value. On the other hand, maximizing his value might be keeping him around and letting his work ethic, heart and desire rub off on our younger players. - Lyndhurst: Acacia Country Club
