Heartbreaking for sure, but not any more so than the many innocent victims of shootings we've seen in the Cleveland MSA between Brennan and this.

^FCS, not D1-AA. There is no such thing as D1-AA anymore.

Right you are. I assumed that picture was taken from the sideline, but on second glance it was taken from the opposite end zone.

The boys showed some grit to comeback and win that one in OT. You need games like this which test you in order to become champions. That said, the WR corps now has me worried. Too many balls which hit the hands were not caught

Cleveland: Suburban Crime & Safety Discussion
Eh. This one doesn't really pass the smell test IMO. Two 'suspects' marked a CCF employee getting into a 12 year old Honda Civic and followed her all the way to Rocky River (at least 30 minutes, right?) to carjack her? No mention of them taking her cell phone, which was probably worth about as much as the car?

Sigh. There's always a reaction on one level or another when a city gets slighted on TV. The Detroit and Jacksonville Super Bowls. The San Antonio fat women comment. The list is endless and there always is some local reaction to it. It's a bit amplified on this site because that's what we discuss. It doesn't "make Cleveland look insecure". I live here and haven't heard a peep about it except on here. Yes, I know some newscasters raised it, but it really isn't being discussed all that much at all. I'm sure local newscasters discuss slights in any city. The ones I mentioned above got national headlines. I don't know why every time we discuss a Cleveland slight on here, that is the robotic reaction of one of the posters from another C. Do they teach you that in elementary school or something?

^I talk to cops every day. You can't always accept what they tell you as gospel. You have to consider the effect their job has on them sometimes and take what they say with a grain of salt, especially if you are talking to them over a drink. There is no statistical evidence which establishes this word of mouth. The fad is by and large due to thrill seekers who want to show-boat. They congregate in large packs, sometimes as much as 40-50 and take over a street (not much different that critical mass rides I might add, although certainly more of a hazard). And it really is not as new as people are making it seem. This goes back to the 90's in many places. The bikes can be used to pushing drugs, just as cars and bicycles can be so used, but that is not their primary use. And, yes, gang members (who also happen to sell drugs) like to get involved in these types of fads. This reminds me of the time when cops said loud music (bass) being boomed out of cars was a sign that you were "open for business"

Congratulations! Cleveland Metroparks awarded ‘Best in the Nation’ A big congratulations to the Cleveland Metroparks! They are the winners of the prestigious 2016 National Gold Medal Award for excellence in Park and Recreation Management. The American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration, in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) gave them the award. The Gold Medal is one of the highest professional awards available to parks and recreation agencies nationwide and involves a stringent qualification and judging process. http://fox8.com/2016/10/06/congratulations-cleveland-metroparks-awarded-best-in-the-nation/      :banger: :banger: :banger: :banger: :banger:

They may be used on occasion for drug trafficking, but that is not what is driving their popularity. Not... even... close. Think about it. If you have a couple rocks of crack in your pocket, are you going to ride down the street on an bike that is not street legal at excessive speeds, popping wheelies? Of course not. Given that drug dealers are not the smartest people, but most of the ones who make enough money to afford anything (such as a dirt bike) before being caught are not stupid. Their street smarts, in fact, far exceed those of the average exurban kid. This is a question that really has no easy right/wrong answer. But I'd lean towards providing a public space where such stunts can be legally performed, and hope that it reduces (although it surely won't eliminate) the illicit street riding.

It just wouldn't have the same impact. You'd know going in what the premise is.

I hope they leave The Night Of alone. It got its message across. No need to overdo it. I watched Westworld premier last night. I suspect it will be on par with the other HBO Sunday night shows.

^Belvoir BLVD :speech:. But, yes, I love winding down either Belvoir or Metro Park Dr. on my way to the Shoreway. But my favorite might be riding my bike through the park on Memorial Day, July 4th, or any other day when the cookouts are in full swing. The smell....

No one will say. I think the timing with the results of the paternity test is not coincidental. He may have got that news and relapsed, thus knowing that he would fail his next test. Or, perhaps that shock of realizing he fathered a child and missed the first year of that girl's life, had a profound effect on him and caused him to take a drastic step towards a cleaner life.

^Interesting company with Austin (1), Raleigh/Durham (2), and Charlotte (5) also on the list. Although I'm not sure about Austin, I suppose the cost of living is manageable in those other cities, at least compared to the coasts.

I'd like to see other teams #2 CBs try to defend Pryor and nickel-backs trying to cover Coleman. We may finally have a WR unit which strikes fear into our opponents. Not sure when the last time we could say that with a straight face...

They could go 0-16 and Hue won't get fired. They hired him as part of a longer term vision.

I actually enjoyed watching that game yesterday. With the way Kessler started out, I thought we were going to get run out of the building before halftime. But this team has some fight in it. If our kicker doesn't hurt himself earlier in the week in walk throughs (still struggling with how that happens), we probably win. Any analysis of yesterday has to start with Terrelle Pryor. Wow. That was one helluva performance. He's definitely found a home and the sky is the limit for him. One of the most uniquely talented players in the league. Imagine when Gordon comes back and you can line those two up on the outside, with Coleman in the slot. Scary. I can probably throw he ball harder than Kessler, but he showed some smarts and poise yesterday. He's not the QB of the future, but there is something there there. The Crow and Duke Johnson are a nice 1-2 punch at RB. I actually feel pretty good about our skill positions on offense and am not sure the last time I could say that. Maybe when Braylon and K2 had their 1,000 yard seasons? A few players stood out on defense. This Kindred kid at safety is a playmaker. And Davis was a good pickup at ILB. We still have a looooooong way to go in terms of development and talent. But I feel that the players are playing hard for Hue Jax...... much moreso than the past 3-4 regimes.
