You can all it a lie or misleading, but I pose these questions to you...... who are fact-checking the fact-checkers? Who is fact-checking the fact-checkers of the fact-checkers? I'll tell you who..... the lamestream media. It's almost too easy for Mandel

Relocating to Cleveland -- University Circle or other areas?
I would not say any of the "least desirable" areas have been recommended. I certainly haven't seen any recommendations for East Cleveland, Central, or Crocker Park...

Relocating to Cleveland -- University Circle or other areas?
Just throwing this out there...... but have you looked into Chagrin Falls at all? It is much more isolated but I would think it meets your list of priorities with great schools (some of the best in Ohio), a great family atmosphere, safety, and I'm sure that it is chicken-friendly. It is extremely 'walkable'.... even moreso than many of our more urban centered neighborhoods, but it is one of the more inaccessible areas in the County. It is worthy of consideration - http://www.chagrin-falls.org/

Cleveland Browns Discussion
You're assuming that they would have made the 2 pt conversion. Did you not watch the offense last Sunday? Just as likely, given the time that was left, Philly could have got 2 field goals and then you would be here lambasting the coaching staff for costing us an overtime opportunity. Hindsight is 20/20 my man and is a favorite tool for monday-morning quarterbacks, but you have to put yourself in the moment. That was a defensive touchdown with 14 minutes left to play. The offense was cold and had not been on the field. If we miss that 2pt conversion then we are only up 5 pts with a lot of time on the clock. Philly gets the ball and immediately drives down for a make-able field goal, but their kicker shanks it. If he would have made that kick and Shurmer had been following your strategy, then we are only up 2 pts with 9 minutes to go against one of the better teams in the league. Bottom line is that I wouldn't be criticizing him if he had gone for two, but it is enough of a toss up under those circumstances to understand why he wanted to make sure two field goals don't beat us.

^^there is a big difference between being up 5 or up 6. Being up 5, you lose with two field goals from the other team. That is why standard philosophy dictates that you go up 6 in that situation unless there is only time left for one possesseion by the other team

Cleveland Browns Discussion
^^Most NFL coaches would have made that call unless it was in the last 3 minutes of the game. Every national pundit brought on the airwaves up here this week has said so. As far as 'staring down' recievers, that has more to do with Shurmer's system which mostly predetermines which route is going to get the ball before the snap. Let's see how he does against some pair other than Asomugha and Cromartie before trying to imagine we have him all figured out.

Like I said, wait until after we play someone other than Philly. After a year of playing together and adding Ryans to sure up their run defense, that cast of pro bowlers is going to lay the slap down on other teams too. If it looks just as bad on Sunday, then I'll be there with you pounding the drum for Haslam to come in with some major changes

Something is missing with my Browns too..... such as the ability to move the ball on offense. Also consider that our best CB is suspended and our other starting CB got hurt last week before putting any money on the Browns to win. I highly doubt we get another defensive performance 'for the ages' like the one which kept us in the game against Philly.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Before judging Weeden and the offense in general, I want to see them play against a team that doesn't have two pro-bowl corners, a great run stuffing middle backer, two premier pass rushing defensive ends, and incredible all around depth. I imagine Philly is going to 'get it together' this year on the defensive side of the ball and frustrate a lot of their opponents. There might not be another defense in the entire league that you would want to break in a bunch of rooks at key positions. What was disappointing is that Weeden looked shaken by his bad performance and it spiraled down the toilet as the game went on. He has to show better poise than that. Especially disappointing given his age. Such a shame that the great showing by the D was overshadowed. Name the last time you saw our front 4 get that much pressure on their own. Bringing added pressure worked out well too. Vick spent a lot of time on the ground. I thought the pass coverage actually improved when Shelton went out. DQ52 killed and his young, undrafted counterparts showed some athleticism that, frankly, Gocong and Fujita don't have. The two new DE's (Rucker and Parker) made their presence felt in the rotation, as did the two rookie DTs (Winn and Hughes). Rubin is an all-pro. We're gonna miss Haden over the next four games.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Alonzo Gee has reportedly reached a multi-year deal with the Cavs. Good to have him back. He brings that lunch-pail mentality to the court. Most importantly, he brings one quality that every good team needs, which is a defender that can guard the best perimeter player on the other team every game.

Even IF it is the 'right thing to do'...... this is the worst idea I maybe have ever heard. First, the fans will cheer when they announce his death. Then, the fans will boo when they try to commemorate his life. Then, Cleveland will be national news again for all of the wrong reasons. Why not just do a public viewing like they are going to do in Baltimore and let the fans try to hit the casket with dog biscuits, batteries, and unopened bottles of beer.

A few observations: - We have some freshmeat on the D-Line - Noah Spence #8, Adolphus Washington #92, and Tommy Schutt #90 - who are going to give us that added depth up front that we really lacked last year. Add in the return of Nathan Williams and our D-Line is much improved from what was a very good, but top-heavy group last year. - For the 1st quarter, Braxton looked like the Braxton of last year. But from then on, he looked damn good. Still doesn't have the best accuracy and doesn't throw a tight spiral. - We have a very athletic group of WRs, but I'm not sure that we have that true game-breaker. Philly Brown would probably disagree with me and I like his confidence to fill that role. - The DBs are having trouble adjusting to playing off the line. That's how we used to play when Tress first was hired at OSU, but then every team started running the spread against us and we moved our DBs up to jam at the line and help the LBs on the underneath routes. - The O-Line is green and it shows. Same with the LBs although I'm still #1 in the Ryan Shazier fanclub- Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
The lights can be long sometimes. I don't think it's a huge problem, particularly coming from the north side of campus, but I would still like to see something done to unify things a bit more. Isn't that what the "green spines" in the masterplan are for? That's why they took a section out of the block on Euclid between 18th and 21st, no?- Cleveland Browns Discussion
^Colt only had the backup line with him last night. The recievers and backfield were our 1's (minus Trent, of course). I think he showed that he is still Colt.... which means you can stomach him as your backup, but he is not the quality of an NFL starting QB and there is nothing that can be done to change that IMO. I'll never run a 4.5 40 and Colt will never be able to throw the ball with the velocity required in the NFL. Rumors are swirling about cuts, but it is pretty much confirmed that Seneca Wallace, Evan Moore, James Dockerty, Rod Windsor, and David Sims are among the notables to be cut who many thought had a chance to make the team. - Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
