^I can't agree with that. He was a bean pole, relative to other front 7 NFL defenders.

Mingo traded to Pats. Former 6th overall pick. We got a future 5th rounder in return.
  3. First time that has happened in 100 years? I was supposed to go last night. Dang it
  4. I never saw this as all that practical. It's something to plan for long-term perhaps, but nothing that is going to happen in the next decade.

LeBron re-signs. 3 yrs $100m. Reportedly a player option for the third year
  6. I eagerly opened this thread thinking there would be one when I saw there was a new post :whip:

Congrats to the Royals, but 'premier' should be no where in that league name

Yet another Draymond / male genitalia front page story....
  13. For Cleveland, the shoreline has no boundaries. More inland, it has to be the emerald necklace (roughly), right?

  15. We also might've set a record for number of cowboy hats in the City at one time

I'm going to stop referring to this as the bathroom bill. It is so much more than that
  17. This is not prime lakefront land. This is on a parking lot hidden behind other buildings. This land was being marketed for office use. It's not as if this is being built on the water. And right next to an airport.

With the money that has been handed out this summer, that demand is far from outrageous. For comparison's sake, Luol Deng (31) will make $18mill next season..... Aaron Afflalo (30) and Eric Gordon (28) will each make $12.5mill.... and Jared Dudley (30) will make $10.5mill. JR is basically looking for Manu Ginobili money and, at this point in their respective careers, it is hard to argue that he shouldn't get it.

    Hey, Draymond

He has survived two regime changes. He's talented and productive. It's hard to judge 3-4 D-lineman on their stats, since their main purposes is to hold the point of attack and free up the LBs to make plays. The brass thought he was a leader. That is why they kept him around.

I was actually glad to see the strong storms roll through NEO last night. It's been so dry around here that the only thing still green in my yard is the crabgrass.

Sounds like Desmond Bryant tore his pectoral and will be out for the season. Ugh. He was supposed to assume a leadership role on this younger D-Line.

Draymond Green arrested for assault in Michigan. No word yet on which body part of the victim was assaulted....

"The Night Of" - a new HBO mini series - premiered last night. Seems like this is going to be a really good one, even by HBO's standards.
  25. The gray economy (people working off the books) is much larger than the Labor Department reports. I'd say the "real" participation rate is ten points higher than what gets reported. Correct. Not only are people working off the books, they are oftentimes collecting unemployment compensation or other forms of assistance while doing so. Employers are all too complicit in this. We need to put an end to it.
