I don't judge people based on their race/ethnicity ;)

Facebook
That's my motivation. I feel that I am out of the loop. For years, I had no desire to be in the 'facebook' loop, but now I just feel like an oddball. My wife has been on facebook for years and she is actually friends with several of my old friends she has never met.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Nobody scheduled a parade. And Curry's injury was no reason to think the 'ship is locked up. SAS and OKC would be very formidable opponents, probably even favorites, even if GS is somehow derailed. Curry's overtime performance was one for the ages. Not quite up to the level of LBJ's Game 5 against Detroit in 2007, IMO, but great nonetheless. That said, it was in OT, against a Blazers team that should not be so challenging for a defending champion destined to repeat.

Suburban Sprawl News & Discussion
nobody knew the Halles were Jewish? I don't know how such a prominent family could have kept that so hidden! As for racial integration, I guess Painesville--30 miles from Cleveland--was way ahead of the "liberal and enlightened whites" of Shaker Heights of the late 60's, as I had attended multi-racial schools years before that that didn't require busing to achieve, and to this day it's probably the most diverse community in the Cleveland area. Where else can you find a homecoming court with three Latinas, two African-Americans, one person of mixed race, a white girl and an Asian king?! [/url] Is the "King" Asian? Looks more Native American (specifically the natives from either the West coast or central America). Painesville has always been fairly diverse, especially given its Latino population. I always thought it was somewhat reflective of the near west side of Cleveland, other than the Latino population in Painesville being more Central American as opposed to Cleveland's heavy Puerto Rican influence. I also seem to recall that there were two high schools in Painesville, with Harvey being very diverse while Riverside (?) not so much.

Cleveland: Nautica Development
That's probably intentional and a selling point. Considering the other developments being proposed, they are going to want to distinguish themselves somehow and that may be a good way. If downtown continues to thrive the way it has been people from this area will venture out. But some people want "home" to be a refuge from the world at times. I get your point, but I doubt it applies all that strongly to folks looking to make FWB their home. I think the water feature is aimed more at people that think it just looks cool and for those who want to dock their boat next to their home, more so than people who view it as some kind of security blanket. It's not like there is going to be some kind of draw bridge only the residents will be able to cross

A double double in 8 straight games is impressive, I don't care what part of the season.

KLove in the first player in the history of the NBA to win his first 12 postseason games. Of course there has to be an asterisk by that, but still an impressive accomplishment.

Never say never, but our pace was not simply record breaking, it was record shattering. And it wasn't just the volume, but the efficiency as well. We can always shoot a large volume of threes. That's easy enough. But hoping they keep a 'pace' of 50% is very optimistic. Not that it can't be done. Just very unlikely.

It has went up in the playoffs, but they were shooting a high volume amount of threes all year. They were third highest in the league at 30 per game. That has went up to 36 in the playoffs, but I would highly suspect it has a lot to do with the success they've had shooting it. I was loving watching this series, but really wish we had exploded from 3 in the Finals. It would be extremely optimistic to hope that one or two players stay around 50%, let alone the entire team. With Jonas V. and Whiteside either out or lame for the ECF, I hope we take it to whoever our opponent is in the paint. That would really f-up all the scouting reports the Western teams are drawing up for us.

Cleveland: Nautica Development
For this particular site, I don't mind the plans at all. No existing street grid to work with and little/no hope for anything denser rising out of that parking lot so long as we can't get anything moving on the much more appealing WHD sea of parking lots. I like that the plan interacts with the river and changes absolutely nothing into something quite substantial. As much as I would love to see a Pescht type plan announced for this site, we all know that ain't happening. This fits the area and is a lofty vision IMO. It's the type of project (horse) which will hopefully spur the desired infill (cart) between it and Stonebridge.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
It's a lot harder to empty out an office building for renovations than it is a residential building, and the upkeep tends to be better.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Why? Converting older skyscrapers seems to be a hit in NYC. TT is more than an older skyscraper. It is THE Cleveland landmark IMHO. I wouldn't be in favor of converting the Empire State Building into residential either. I worry about what happens 30, 40, 50 years ago when whatever units K&D puts in there become obsolete and dated. I'm all for residential conversion. Just some things are off limits to me. Some buildings should be nobody's 'home'

^That's not true. The 92-93 Bulls swept the Hawks 3-0 and the Cavs 4-0 in the first two rounds of the playoffs before defeating the Knicks in the conference finals and the Suns in the NBA Finals. 00-01 Lakers swept through the entire Western Conference. Maybe ESPN meant under the modern format where the first round went from best of 5 to best of 7?

I hope I don't jinx it, but the Cavs have yet to lose a single playoff game in which LBJ, KLove and Kyrie all play

Hate the idea of converting any part of the TT into residential.

The Hawks just need to stop the whining. If they were set up to break a record, they would have tried too. And if they were going to get 'defensive' about something, they should have started a few hours earlier.

Was Barkley really talking sh*t about Cleveland? Seems like he was just giving the same bit about toughness every retired athlete from every sport does..... "in my time, we would've...." 20 years from now, you will hear Kobe, LeBron, etc. saying the same thing.

I like the calming influence Lue seems to have on this team. He won't let them panic. He stays the course and doesn't let the ebb and flow of the game dictate the way his team plays.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Scooby Wright in the 7th round was the type of gamble I wanted this team to take. Big time college player who starter the day he walked onto the field at Arizona. Tough as nails. Lack of elite athleticism and injury probably scared away teams, but he is the epitome of a run-stuffer, something we don't have at ILB (where I think he will play). At the end of last year, he was projected as a 1st round pick by many.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Didn't see Colemand coming, but I like his tape. Sort of Antonio Brown-ish in his style of play. Does not have ideal height, which is OK because I'm not sure the Browns WR uniforms fit guys who are taller than 6'0. But he's not frail at all. Both blazing fast and extremely quick (there's a difference). His vertical jump was 10 inches higher than Treadwell's. It's hard to argue that our team didn't desperately need an explosive playmaker who can create TDs. That's who this kid appears to be. He's Travis Benjamin +30 lbs. I think Buckner might have been their guy who they thought would fall to them at 8. He got picked 7. So they traded back again and got decent value. I wasn't in love with anyone at that point. The only two player left on my board at that point was Tunsil and i can understand why this team couldn't take the risk on him. Nice to have the first pick in the second round. They are on the clock all day. Pick of the litter. I might take a swing on Jack at this point. Even if you only get 4-5 years out of that knee, it may be worth it
