Cleveland Guardians Discussion
I haven't heard of most of these guys and the ones I have heard of are way past their prime. Most of those guys never had a prime. This guy is dead! Cross him off, then... They called and asked me to manage the Tribe this year, but I had a guy on the other line about a pair of white walls.

I agree that the market needs more parking... not for my own personal preferences, but people have to face reality that the market depends on car centric suburbanites as much, if not more, than a crowd like ours.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
I agree... but I also always thought the thread it concept was a pipe dream for that same reason. IMO, the more pavers the better and I'm not in the construction field so my point on costs is just speculation (although I know brick can be tremendously expensive). I wouldn't make any changes on my account. Go with the consensus. I was just dropping in my two cents.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
I still think, for the sake of holding down costs (for both construction and maintenance), asking for the pavers to go around (not just through) the square might be overreaching a bit.

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Basketball Discussion
There's a big subjective element to the NCAA Tournament as well. Think about team selection, seeding, etc. But each team that can make any plausible argument for having a great regular season is at least given a shot to win the title. Not true with football. For example, non of the teams in this years final four would have even made it to a bcs bowl, let alone the championship.

Right... when looking at places in the Coventry neighborhood, confine that search to either on Mayfield Rd or south of Mayfield Rd. The places on Mayfield are fine as long as parking is provided. You could probably get a spacious (yet dated) 2bdrm apt around there in your price range.

Little Italy has a lot going for it right now. The new park is perfect. When they complete Uptown (mixed use development between Little Italy and Case), it is only going to be that much better of a place to live. Enjoy now while the rents are reasonable.

RnR.... couldn't find anybody panhandling around that lot, but one of the DCA ambassadors was there. His name was Eric. Very receptive to your concerns. He said to call in the guys description and they will let dispatch know and work with you to resolve your concerns. 2166216000

It really depends on what kind of nightlife she wants. Downtown pretty much has a monopoly on dance clubs, but the other neighborhoods have plenty of nightlife to enjoy in terms of bars, lounges, eateries, shops, etc. And it is not like they aren't just a quick drive/bus ride/rapid ride to downtown anyway.

Check out Little Italy, too. It is very close to CWRU and might be more appealing depending on your tastes. The Coventry neighborhood in Cleveland Hts is another area you should consider. While I'm a big fan of downtown living, it is not your only option if you want a young, safe, vibrant neighborhood.

Welcome! You should know that while downtown is great, it is not the only place that has nightlife. How familiar are you with the area? Where will you work? What are your preferences in terms of apartments (new, old, carpeted, hardwood, etc)? Some details about you will help. For instance, where do you currently live in Ga and are you looking for something similar?

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Basketball Discussion
It is more that you can't play "best of" series in football. That would take 1-2 months to complete! March Madness isn't going to change.... it is what defines NCAA bball. The BCS is much, much more controversial because there is such a subjective element to it.

I know if that was my nabe and the City was slow in reacting, I would get out there with a broom and dust pan getting up that glass. I sure would complain, but I wouldn't just leave it sitting there on the street.

Due to last night's victory, the Heat won't make it to 60 wins..... something the 'talentless' Cavs were easily able to do the past two years.

And then they let Miami tie it up at 83-83. But we went on a 12-0 run to close it out. Great win. I've never seen Hollins or Parker play that well. The stars aligned, I guess.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
He's a 3 in the NBA. A good one too. In a dead sprint, the kid beat Nolan Smith down the floor for a loose ball and lay'd it in. That's all I needed to see. I don't buy the knock on his lateral quickness. It could be better, but it is plenty sufficient. Plus, he shot like 60% from the arc. Very intriguing. Kyrie is still my #1 though. I just won't be as disappointed if we don't get him as I would have been a few weeks ago, given the show we have seen at the tourney. This draft is nowhere near as weak as everybody was saying it was going to be. There are 4-5 International bigs that might find their way into the lottery as well. Kemba certainly deserves a look. Kid is a winner. But he is the one with whom I have concerns about his position. He plays off the ball too well to be a pure PG. He's almost like Earl Boykins +8 inches, which is scary if you think about it.
