Congressman Dennis Kucinich
I suspect that Kucinich's "no" votes were because the legislation was not liberal enough for his tastes.

NHL vs. NBA ... Fight!
According to the site I linked to above, the more fair fight would be between Field Hockey and Ice Hockey... with Field Hockey winning out on the global stage

NHL vs. NBA ... Fight!
ESPN could have topped Versus' offer. It didn't. The Versus contract for the NHL was $70 mill per year IIRC. The NBA pulls in 10x that in TV deals. Nuff said. It's as simple as this: NBA > NHL in the USA and most every other country. When it comes to the global market, NBA > MLB and NFL - http://www.sportingo.com/all-sports/a11587_worlds-top-most-popular-team-sports NHL > NBA in Canada and, apparently, Cincy.

NHL vs. NBA ... Fight!
ESPN doesn't give a damn about the NHL because of the money it would lose by airing the NHL instead of NBA games. It isn't about personal preference for anyone at ESPN. It's a business decision.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
With three 3rd rd picks now, two of those being at the top of that rd, I am not counting out us trading UP in the 1st rd... or possibly trading 2 3rd's for another 2nd if someone we like slips.

Browns trade Quinn to Denver for a fullback and two future draft picks. I hear the draft picks are one 6th rounder and a conditional pick which will be determined based on Quinn's successes/failures in Denver. The fullback, Peyton Hillis, is no slouch but probably not as good as the one we already have (Vickers). More of an H-back than a lead blocker. They also traded Kameron Wimbley to Oakland for an undisclosed draft pick. If I had to guess, it is a third rounder at best. http://espncleveland.com/

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Personal distaste. Nothing major. He just was always somebody I seemed to root against. As a player, he is a 35 yr QB who's best years are most likely behind him. And I don't envision him as a good mentor for a young QB should we decide to go that route in the early rounds of the draft.

^Dr. Jaffe was my wife's OB as well. I second the recommendation. She is in the UH system so the delivery would be at MacDonald Women's Hospital in UC - which is part of Rainbow Babies and we all know how highly rated it is. As people come to find out, when choosing an OB, you have to look at the entire practice they are part of. Dr. Jaffe was great, but she did not end up doing the delivery. Someone in her practice did though. She may have an office at the main campus for checkups (not sure) but her regular office is in the Green Road Medical Center in S. Euclid.- Cleveland Cavs Discussion

Wow, this is totally weird. I wonder if the victim used a non-incident as a cover story for injuries received elsewhere. My thoughts exactly. I did find it odd that the alleged "heroes" who chased the criminals off went unidentified in the first place. You don't just chase criminals off and then vanish unidentified.... unless you are a superhero of course. If it is a false report, it is a shame how she chose to describe the suspects. But typical I suppose.- Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
From Wikipedia (yes, I know it is not technically a "source" but it cites to the relevant studies): The distribution of crime in Cleveland is highly heterogeneous. Relatively few crimes take place in downtown Cleveland's business district, but the perception of crime in the downtown has been pointed to by the Greater Cleveland Growth Association[146] as damaging to the city's economy.[147] Neighborhoods of higher socioeconomic status in Cleveland and its suburbs have lower rates of violent crime than areas of lower status, and even controlling for this factor, areas with higher populations of African Americans have higher violent crime rates.[148] A study of the relationship between employment access and crime in Cleveland found a strong inverse relationship, with the highest crime rates in areas of the city that had the lowest access to jobs. Furthermore, this relationship was found to be strongest with respect to economic crimes.[149] A study of public housing in Cleveland found that criminals tend to live in areas of higher affluence and move into areas of lower affluence to commit crimes.[150] I do agree, but I think he overcompensates in the opposite direction, which is just as bad. It's worse- Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion

^^Thanks for that perspective mikel. I certainly agree and that was the point I was trying to make earlier before the discussion diverted to "ghetto parades", etc. There simply is no urban area in the Country that is completely devoid of these types of incidents. - Cleveland: University Circle: Uptown (UARD)
