How are we letting this moment pass us by on this forum without comment. I'll get it started..... I heard the water bottle had good spin on it, but was off-target because he threw it off his back foot.

^2/5. JR comes off the bench
  4. In the interest of not taking this discussion off-topic, I'm just gonna go ahead and save this quote ;)

I'm not so sure about that. If Kyrie is anywhere close to full-go, our offense is anything but limited. I think the team has actually proven to be quite versatile on that end of the floor. We can score inside, we can score outside, we can score in transition, we can create our own shots, we can swing the ball. Keep in mind that LeBron has not been at his best from an efficiency standpoint and Kyrie has not been Kyrie, yet we have cruised to the Finals. Our defense has been solid, but our offense is not getting the credit it deserves. Two things I perceive everyone is overlooking in a Cavs-Warriors series are (1) how good the Cavs offense is and (2) how good the Warriors defense is.

This site doesn't really represent the Cleveland sports scene all that well. People were/are excited for sure. But it is true that it is a lot different than in '07 when we overcame the odds to come back from 2-0 and beat the hated Pistons to make it to our first ever Finals. I think most people expected us to beat the Hawks..... although I don't think anyone thought it would be that easy. I knew the Hawks were toast last night when Delly came in and hit that 3 and then Teague shoved him on the way down the court. When Delly is in your head, you have problems.

^^^put down that white flag, my friend But on the point of making memories, I definitely still remember the run to the 2007 Finals. Shoot Boobie Shoot! LBJ scoring the last 24 in game 5. That battle with the Wizards in the semis. Etc

This Delly debate is taking on a life of its own. One take I agree with is that Delly isn't dirty but he does play intentionally reckless and that's ok. Another is that if the Hawks are whining about players diving on the ground thence r that explains why they are down 3-0 ^^anyone would be in trouble against GS.

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Things are bound to get broken when you put a bull in a china shop

Doesn't sound like Kyrie is going to play tonight and could be out for a few games or more. Additional imaging is being done on the knee. I'll be curious to see how Blatt fills the rotation. He can't only play 7, so if Kyrie is out then Marion, Miller, Perk, somebody is going to have to play. To even it out (somewhat), it also doesn't sound like Carroll is going to be able to play. His knee was heavily wrapped at shoot-around and he was walking 'gingerly'

^ + Vucevic, Montiehujas, Reggie Jackson, Parsons. It was supposed to be a weak draft, but turned out as one of the better drafts in recent memory.
  17. ^The trend has been improving, has it not? Trends like the one we experienced over the last half century take at least as long to fully reverse. My take has consistently been to put an emphasis on quality over quantity. The region won't thrive until the City thrives. The City won't thrive without repairing the taxpayer base. 10 high earners > 100 low income dependents from the perspective of the City's overall health. A better taxpayer base leads to better leaders, better schools, better services...... and all that helps attract jobs.

^No. TT, Delly, and Shump are all restricted free agents. KLove could leave, but it would be stupid of him to do so. If he wants to max out his earning potential he will wait until the following summer to hit the market. Ideally, KLove opts in and we give TT the max as it stands this summer. A max contract this summer is going to be the equivalent of 'good starter' pay next summer. I do agree that JR is going to be tempted to get a new contract given his age. Funny how that works since just a few months ago he was considered excess baggage because of his contract and everyone was certain he was going to exercise his player option for next year. That said, he genuinely seems to enjoy being part of this team. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if we return fully intact next year.
  20. ^Freeman is likely just the statutory agent

Do we stay at 24 even if we win the Finals? I'd like to see us take a swing on a guy like RJ Hunter out of Georgia State. Deadly sharp-shooter. I know the Cavs have already expressed some interest in Cameron Payne, a PG out of Murray State. They met with him at the combine.

Vegas has the Cavs as the heavy favorites and the only pundits I have read who picked the Hawks are the ones thinking this will go to a game 7
  24. Yep, the PD is historically conservative while Cuyahoga County is probably the bluest county in the State. The PD has almost never represented the political leanings of the vast majority of its readers; certainly not in modern times. I was not actually referring to the writers/reporters, but the people who flood the comments section. I find that to be true with a lot of sites..... Yahoo! being the most notorious outside of the websites which specifically cater to conservatives.
