  1. ^False. Most of the COMMENTERS are that demographic. Most of the audience is not.

I get what you are saying, I just don't agree that Shump, on balance or by any other measure, can replace KLove. He can be one component of making up for the loss, perhaps a big part, but can't do it by himself. Again, while people knock KLove for his defense, they often overlook the fact that he limits the other team to one shot. There are plenty of shot-blockers who are heralded for their defense but a closer look at it shows that them trying to block every shot leaves the offensive glass wide open because you can't block a shot and box out at the same time...... DeAndre Jordan comes to mind.

I think it is hard for Shump to replace Love's offensive production. It would be great if he did, but the fact is KLove's PPG average is a great single game state line for Shump. It has to be more of a team effort to replace Love's production, as LeBron said. We got it in the wins against Chicago, IMO, with more production out of Shump, plus JR, plus Delly, plus JJ on the offensive end. Each one got more looks and was asked to score more than they were during the time when Love was healthy. Each one (except JJ) was certainly asked to create more of their own offense. That said, it seems to me that while I assume LeBron and Kyrie would suffer the most from KLove's absence, it has actually been Timo who has had trouble adjusting. He just doesn't have the space inside anymore to operate with TT's defender able to set up camp in the paint. On TT, he will certainly get more offensive boards than Love but he will get less defensive boards. KLove excels at defensive rebounding, partially making up for his shortcomings on that end. TT excels at offensive rebounding, very much so making up for his shortcomings on that end.
  4. The idea of inducting Lawrence Welk into the RRHOF and the change to Pierre's Freedom Vanilla were funny, I don't care what your leanings are....

Starting Shump in place of Love? Is TT not going to start against Atlanta? Shump was starting at SG, in place of JR. I think they keep it that way given Kyrie's injuries. Shump is going to have to check Teague/Schroeder with Kyrie chasing Korver around the perimeter I would think. I don't think Love being out against Atlanta is as damaging as him being out vs. Chicago. None of the Atlanta's big men scare me from an interior defense standpoint..... meaning, we don't need to spread them out as much as we did Chicago. Milsap, Horford, and Antic are all better on O than they are on D and none are great shot blockers. Actually, I thought Milsap kinda had his way with Love during the regular season matchups so it will be interesting to see if TT can keep him in check. Timo could be more of an x-factor because he has a significant height advantage against the Hawks' starters. LeBron should have an easier time once he gets inside because the Hawks are less physical. Carrol is a good wing defender, but Sefalosha is out hurt from that incident at the NYC club so they don't have two people to throw at LeBron the way they did during the regular season. I'm predicting Cavs in 6. At some point, they will break the Hawks and coast through the rest of the series. I'm still undecided as to whom I would rather face in the Finals, Rockets or Warriors. Both of those teams would be very tough matchups, for very different reasons.

True, but the name started iwhen the franchise moved to SD..... due to the heavy Navy presence there (at least that is what I always presumed)

^^I don't think I knew that the Rockets started in San Diego. I knew the Clippers did. It is one of those situations where the name of the team did not change upon relocation and it doesn't make sense now..... Lakers (originally Minneapolis), Jazz (originally NOLA), Grizzlies (originally Vancouver). On that note, I never would have imagined the Rockets was not a name selected specifically for Houston given that City being the site for so many space shuttle launches. It would seem to fit like a glove, like the Heat, Pistons, 76ers, Pacers, Celtics, Suns, Magic, Timberwolves, Nuggets, Trail Blazers, Spurs, Mavericks, Pelicans, Thunder. The Cavaliers, it seems, is one of the few names which appear to have been chosen more randomly without any local connection. Other apparently random selections (which I can think of) would likely be Wizards, Raptors, Nets, Hawks, and Warriors That article is not really accurate. It was a three way trade with Dion going to OKC...... so we traded Dion, Amundson, Kirk and a 2nd for Shump, JR and an OKC 1st (which we then flipped along with another 1st for Timo). All that aside, it is true the Knicks got essentially nothing in what was essentially a salary dump for a franchise looking for more spending power this summer or next.

^Not the best 'source' The refs are a far cry from being "there as added entertainment, but basically watching same as the fans." NBA refs are same as refs in any other sports league. Tough job which requires a lot more skill than people normally assume. The Replay Center also adds some legitimacy IMO

^I don't know. If you want to be a conspiracy theorist, the NBA without question would want the Cavs to advance. Whether to cheer him on or hope that he loses, LeBron draws the TV audience. Ensuring the Cavs advance would be prioritized over ensuring a Game 7. That said, I don't buy into that crap at all. There is simply no way in H-E-double hockey sticks the league could keep a lid on such tactics and, if it was exposed, it would seriously tarnish the brand.

  18. The 16 Best Beer Cities in America 12. Cleveland, OH At the rate it’s going now, in 10 years Cleveland might soon have a serious shot at the top of every list of this type. The epicenter of the Rust Belt revival is making huge strides in local-sourced everything – especially beer. The Ohio City neighborhood is ground zero, with the infamous Great Lakes Brewing seeming to have birthed a small revolution in the area (Nano Brew and Market Garden are highlights), while outside the 'hood, the city’s other big dog – that’d be Fat Head’s – continues to expand. The smaller guys are making waves too, in the form of Indigo Imp’s small-batch open fermentation program or Bottlehouse’s small-batch experiments, which produce everything from IPA to chili-infused mead. https://www.yahoo.com/food/the-16-best-beer-cities-in-america-118131140061.html

^Because Mirotic is atrocious on defense. It would be open season in the lane if him and Gasol were on the court together. The guy I would be more concerned with playing more is Taj Gibson.... he has always played well against us. EDIT: The road to the finals just got a bit easier. John Wall has FIVE non-displaced fractures in his left hand and wrist.
