^Everybody remembers that play from when he was a freshman in college, but Webber was actually an extremely smart player. Very high basketball IQ. Cavs showed some grit last night. Chicago prides itself on being physical, but a few of their key players - namely Gasol, Dunleavy, and Rose (mostly due to injury concerns for him) - get rattled and don't play well when the other team starts pushing them around. TT really leaned on Gasol and that threw him off his game.

Any word on that shoulder injury Rose suffered in the final minute of the game? Probably just a stinger, but if there is some sprain in there, it is on his shooting arm.

I agree that Chicago's shooting won the game for them last night. Gasol going 8-8 on those top of the key jumpers killed us. We can't give him that open look. Last night was a game in which a few JR Smith 3's and his pesky defense might've propelled us into the lead. We just couldn't get over the hump, but I loved the effort. The bottom line is that Chicago is deeeeeeeep. Mirotic and Snell barely even played.

I hate Noah and Dunleavy....... always hated them, going back to their college days.

The CB from Oregon (not gonna try to spell his name) was a good calculated risk in the 7th. Top level talent but might not be available this year. If he recovers well, it will be like we traded that pick for a 2016 2nd rounder Fingers crossed the WR we took early yesterday, Vince Mayle, is a steal. Good measurables and film.

Solid Day 2. Nothing sexy. Nothing overly risky. All picks seem to have been solid production guys at major programs I wouldn't mind them taking some more risks on Day 3. Stefon Diggs is someone I'd be looking at in the 4th

While I hate the rumor/speculation game, I have to admit this one perked up my ears.... Assuming KLove wants out (I don't think he does), how about swapping him in a sign-and-trade for LaMarcus Aldridge? Love is from Portland and Aldridge wants to play for a title contender, which Portland hasn't managed to cobble together. I've always like LMA's game and think he would appreciate playing next to a physical center like Timo since he is more of a finesse post player.
  9. Didn't Ferro just buy another company too?

I told my boys at the start of the draft last night that I wanted a first round focused on running the ball and stopping the run. Worked out well in my book. My (preliminary) Round 2 board: 1. Eddie Goldman, DL, FSU (can't have enough of these players in a 3-4 system... another bull who adds depth) 2. Tevin Coleman, RB, IU (good fit for the zone-read.... more of a home-run hitter than our current RBs) 3. Eli Harold, LB, UVa (gives Mingo some competition) 4. T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh (athletic OL who could play G or T) 5. Eric Kendricks, LB, UCLA (football player..... nose for the ball) 6. Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State (gotta pick a WR at some point and he is the best one left) 7. Benardrick McKinney, LB, Mississippi State (another football player..... great instincts) 8. Max Williams, TE, Minn (need an upgrade and he is the best TE in this draft) 9. Michael Bennett, DL, THE OSU (unquestionable talent..... not sure if he is big enough for 3-4) 10. Randy Gregory, LB/DE, Nebraska (top 10 pick if not for off-field issues) *Gregory would be on top if not for his failed drug test **La'el Collins would be on this board if not for his off-field issues ***Landon Collins would be on this board but we already have SS taken care of

Danny Shelton is talking like he already knows the Browns are taking him at #12. I'd be fine with that, unless either Cooper or White somehow slip to that spot. A friend of mine who tries to stay as tuned in as possible thinks the Browns' attempts to trade into the Top 5 would not be to pick Mariota. He believes they would be targeting Leonard Williams, who is the top rated prospect on 'my board' I like both of the top RB prospects (Gurley and Gordon) but both of them were used a lot in college and I worry about a short shelf life in the NFL.
  12. I'd assume so, since they are juveniles. They'll get punished. They won't get lynched.
  13. ^Given the charges filed, it is safe to say that the City/County is going with the latter. Felonious assault, aggravated rioting, kidnapping, and aggravated rioting. Sorry to disappoint. I'm not sure why the kidnapping, but if that isn't trumping up the charges, I don't know what is....
  14. The City got a mixed result on the 'jock tax' appeal. The Ohio Supreme Court ruled it can properly tax non-residents for the time actually worked in Cleveland, but the 'games played' method the City was using to determine the proper amount to tax was found to be in violation of due process. The City will have to pay back income wrongfully taxed with interest. This could have a huge impact depending on how many players seek reimbursement.
  15. Arrests were made for an assault on public square on St. Patrick's Day. The three boys arrested were 14 years old, along with a 16 year old girl.
  16. Many still do, perhaps even a majority. But what people usually talk about is the increasing amount who opt for urban living..... at least compared to us Gen-Xers. I also think that we have established on here that your specific circle of friends has caused you to have some serious misconceptions about the leanings of millenials.

  18. I would bet more public aid, on a percentage basis, is given to any given development project in he outlying neighborhoods as compared to downtown projects.

At least it was not a full separation. FWIW, Andre Miller suffered a dislocated shoulder a few years ago and played 2 days later. It all depends on the amount of ligament damage. But yes, at least two weeks is a safe bet. at least it is his non shooting arm

Assuming we play Chicago in the next round, and it is pretty much a foregone conclusion and that is who we are playing, losing Love is devastating. Chicago will now just pack the paint, just as they did in the game before the All-Star break when Love sat out. Life is going to be extremely difficult for LeBron and Kyrie against the Bulls
  21. Parade the Circle is a good multi cultural multi national event
  22. Better than Mason, that's for sure McGinty is a hard read, as sometimes he's really tough and other times not so much. That said, I suspect he had nothing to do with the PC inquiry in this case He certanInly has angered a certain 'segment' with his investigation into the police chase

I think that rumor about Bradford not signing has been taken out of context. I'd think he doesn't want to sign ANYWHERE long term at the moment. Not after his injuries the past few seasons. He probably wants to try to play his way into a larger contract at the end of the season
