^Not in the plans. Part of the deal to buy the franchise Randy Lerner insisted upon was that there would be no logo on the helmet. Apparently, that was a dying wish of Al Lerner.

Rumors I heard is the logo is going to be a helmet, again...... just a different helmet. This one will have a brown facemask. Something like this (perhaps with some tweaks in the shade of orange) I suppose.....

^For certain if those macho vehicles have rear-wheel drive...... but even 4-wheel drive doesn't do much for you on ice except give you a false sense of security. My wife has an AWD SUV and I would much rather drive my car with a manual transmission on slippery/icy roads. Her AWD, however, makes driving through deep snow covered roads a piece of cake.

I will say this...... the combination of freezing cold and snow is much more dangerous in Cincy considering the topography.

Holder (and by extension, Obama) have had very little or nothing to do with the Cleveland use of force issue. That is a continuation/extension of the DOJ's scrutiny of the City's PD, which was recently ramped up in 2001 by that DOJ (and by extension, Bush). Cleveland is one of two cities which has been investigated by the DOJ twice since the turn of the century. The other being New Orleans.

^^I probably should have read the article. I'm surprised by this because last I heard the administration was eager to work with the DOJ on the concerns over the departments use of force
  7. ^^maybe they don't share your "stereotypical" concerns?
  8. Hts121 replied to a post in a topic in Ohio Politics
Waste of time and money. This is most likely a thinly veiled pre emptive strike against a judicial consent decree the DOJ wants, and the Mayor is eager to sign, requiring an overhaul of the City's use of force policies and practices

Noah soft? I don't like the guy but I would never describe him as soft. Certainly not one of the softest ever. He was defensive player of the year last season ^^LeBron does that quite a bit when chit chatting on the court

Hubie was simply rooting for a competitive game. He knew that knockout punch was coming and was trying to implore the Heat to survive it and play the way that team needed to play to stay competitive.

I watched "Get On Up" last night.... the movie about James Brown. Musically, it was extremely entertaining. The movie spread out the performance of his hits nicely. The actual script and production itself was a little too artsy-fartsy for my tastes..... too eccentric..... but I suppose that fits since it was James Brown. It was just hard to follow because the timeline is constantly jumping around between the decades without any notice. I must say that the man was one helluva performer. I recall going to the RRHOF concert at Municipal Stadium when I was around 16 and he brought the house down. Brown and Springstein were easily the two best performers IMO in a very crowded field.
  13. My guess is an argument happened maybe even a physical altercation, someone pulled a gun in the middle of it, and the gun was discharged during a struggle for control of it. That's the most likely cause of being shot in the hand, I would assume....... that is, unless Dan Gilbert went "Casino" on someone who was caught cheating.
  14. ^Not if membership fees/dues are mandatory for anyone who lives there, regardless of whether they use the fitness center.

Yeah..... you zone out all other distractions (phone, radio, etc) and pay attention to the road ;). To be clear, however, when you combine drinks and weed, it is very dangerous to drive.
  16. At least it wasn't a random act of violence..... not that such a fact matters to those who were eagerly awaiting such an incident.

I don't think Loretto was "worried" about drivers on pot....... just frustrated. It reminds me of some comment I hear about a year or two ago along the lines of..... "Who would be opposed to a law which causes teenage boys to drive slower?"

I was skeptical about Mo's ability to crack our rotation. Whatever edge he has on Delly on offense, Delly makes up for it on D....... and defense is the reason why Delly gets the majority of his minutes..... especially in crunch time. Regardless, more and more we are seeing Shump take on the role of ball-handling duties and I expect that to continue. Somewhat of the same concern for Shuttlesworth (aka Ray Allen). I would never deny him a roster spot, but I worry about him becoming disgruntled. That said, Blatt heavily using an 8-man rotation lately might be a sign that they are expecting to add another player to the rotation. However, in all honesty, it seems like we need another big for spot duty moreso than we need another perimeter player. What happens if Love, TT, or Timo miss any significant time?

^^Yes. The only people who were willing to fund the campaign. Elections cost money. I hate it. This initiative goes down in flames. There is just too much to pick at.

Shaker and Cleveland Hts still produce many National Merit Scholars. I personally have an issue with the '4 school' program they are currently running at Heights High. I can't imagine a freshman in high school knows enough about his/her future desires to be pigeon holed so early in life. Depending on your ability to plan ahead, you might want to consider the long term cost of some of those better districts. If you are paying an extra $200,000 for a house in a nice school district, that translates to closer to $400,000 over the course of a 30 year loan once you take interest into account. For that extra $$, you can live in the inner ring and send your kids to a private school. FWIW, I have some skepticism about Mayfield maintaining its excellent rankings. If the east side's trends continue, the housing stock in Mayfield Hts is the type which starts turning to more and more rentals, and the selling prices consequently drop, and then the schools start to weaken. The larger apartment buildings around Mayfield and SOM are also falling out of style in a hurry. Gates Mills, Mayfield Village, and Highland Heights are all in the school too, so it is not like the entire district has those anticipated problems. I'm just thinking ahead 15 or so years.
  21. ^^I'd take Thomas over Cameron in a heartbeat.

Not that it matters, but we are rising fast in the weekly power rankings. ESPN now has us at #4 and Yahoo has us at #5. Hawks, Golden State, and Memphis are 1, 2, 3 in each..... nearly impossible to argue with that. Houston edges us out for #4 in Yahoo's opinion.

^^You don't know how many times? How often does Medina get 6" of snow? Is Medina considered to be in the snow belt? I live in the inner ring of the east side and we get 6" (at one time) maybe three or four times a year, if that...... this last storm being one of those occasions. 1-4 inches is much more the norm. I have taken notice of this in the past few year's as my in-laws live on the east coast. While our snow is more constant, it rarely drops more than a few inches in one storm. Meanwhile, it is much more common on the east coast to get those massive storms of a foot or more, which I have only seen a handful of times in my entire life.

JR has definitely been better than expected on D. He seems to rotate well and hustle around the court. But Shump is just a lock-you-down one-on-one perimeter defender. He gets 'up in your shorts' and has incredibly quick and strong hands. His value on that end will really shine through if in the playoffs we run into a team with a dynamic perimeter ball handler, like Rose or Harden.
