  1. There are countless immigrants which we would have to relax requirements for if we did so for Russians and Ukranians

Using averages can also be a bad measure due to spikes/drops..... Especially up along the the Great Lakes. Like the saying goes, if you don't like the weather in Cleveland, wait 5 minutes. Averages also don't account for wind, which makes it cooler here in the summer and colder in the winter. Without accounting for wind chill and humidity, you don't get the "real feel". What the Ohio Valley has is much more consistent temps, which can be a good or bad thing depending on your tastes

By the 3rd quarter, K-Love looked like an 80 year old man jogging up the court.

I was being 'real.' I said nothing about the winters, although I will now say that -10 is a very rare occurrence absent a polar vortex. The bigger variations in the winter is the snow, not so much the cold, and that variation depends on what part of NEO you are talking about. My original point is that I would take the additional cold and snow over the additional heat and humidity. The heat and humidity just saps me. I get heat exhaustion easier than most. I still get anxiety from the smell of morning dew on the grass following a hot night from going through two-a-days in August in North Carolina 15-20 years ago. Like I said, it affects different people differently.

There's a noticeable difference to me. Heat affects different people differently. That added 5 or 10 degrees with corresponding increase in humidity makes a huge difference to me. Anytime I'm in cincy I am downtown so maybe the lower elevation makes a difference, but the thickness in the air mid summer is noticeably different. And it's the consistency of the heat humidity which wears on me. We have our heat waves for sure, where we are hotter than places far south of us, thereby spiking our averages, but they typically come and go fairly quickly
  6. Ark Band was awesome last night at the Grog Shop's Bob Marley birthday celebration. I recommend going to see them play when you have a chance. They will be with Carlos Jones and others at the HOB on 2/13.
  7. ^Not me. I don't have any issue whatsoever with the closing of the Coventry location. Those storefronts will be filled relatively easily, I suspect...... perhaps with something more appealing to me. I have an issue with this location for just about any joint. It is a totally car centric/dependent location. You are not going to walk to any of the other stores at Golden Gate from this spot. It's essentially a truck stop off 271

If we win tonight, we tie the franchise record for a win streak. If we win both tonight and Sunday (both easily winnable games) we would break the record. Also, interesting stat of the day is that, if you disregard the 5-7 start to the season, the Cavs are 24-5 when LeBron plays.

I don't like Cameron. Never have. He is a pretty boy, basketball player trying to play football. I've never seen Gronk 'alligator arm' a ball the way Cameron sometimes does. Plus, he is an awful run blocker. Overrated player who will shut it down once he gets paid IMHO. Not in rushing yds per attempt. Near the bottom, but not dead last. In 2013, they were top 10 in that category. They were dead last in total rushing yards allowed because they had nearly 100 more rushing attempts against them than the next closest team. I think losing Phil was a big part of that, as well as the loss of other DLs which thinned out our depth. But also Dansby's absence and Gipson's injury. The biggest factor, as always, was the game situations the offense (or lack thereof) put the defense in. I'm not worried about our defense. Give them a competent offense which can keep them off the field for more than 3 plays and they will be just fine.

Actually, I think they are 1/2 game up on the Bulls, tied with the Wizards for the 3rd seed, and now only 3 games back of Toronto for the 2 seed.
  11. Limited parking? We're talking about Golden Gate in Mayfield Heights, correct? I suppose the Empire State Building's small stature is why it does not have an anchor tenant? ;)
  12. Interesting tweet I read yesterday. Out of 22 starters in this year's Super Bowl, not one 5-star recruit
  13. The bigger concern is the actual location where it is going. It is not really "in" Golden Gate" but moreso crunched between Golden Gate and the highway, and I'd say very few people are even aware there is anything back there.

Totally random observation. In Rocky IV, when Rocky goes on that run in Russia, all the way up the mountain....... could they at least have given him a bottle of water to take on the run?

^^Can't stand those Ohio Valley humidity/heatwaves. That was a major motivation of me moving back up north. I'd much rather deal with the snowier winters. You toughen up to it in no time at all.

The media has also discovered that Browns scandal news is click-bait gold.

I was able to catch up on a few games from the winning streak I had DVR'd. One quick observation. While I still love Timo, one weakness I have noticed is he does not have the best hands. He fumbles the pass a lot. I thought it might just be that he is not anticipating the pass, but it appears he is just a bit clumsy with the ball, especially when he catches it in traffic.

I love snow (I hate winters where everything is dormant and nothing to look at).... but it is getting that time of year where it is starting to wear on me.
  19. I think the Coventry space could be split up into a few different stores. It seems as if it was a combined space anyways.
  20. I would think it would be classified as a CSA well before it ever reached MSA status.

Oh yeah.... we are also supposedly looking to trade up for Marriota.
  23. I know I would of won or lost it with Lynch. If he doesn't get in or Earnest Byners the ball, so be it. We've seen the fallout from the alternative Ryan is advocating for. At the very least, I would think that we could agree they could've run it on 2nd down, called a timeout if no TD, and still had plenty of time to throw a pass on 3rd, which would've stopped the clock if incomplete and brought on an all-or-nothing 4th down. I could live with that. You can crunch the numbers all you want, but the guy is not called BeastMode for nothing. They rode him to victory plenty of times. I actually think there is something to the conspiracy theory that Carroll wanted Wilson to be the hero, not Lynch.

And the beat goes on..... now we are facing a possible loss of draft pick(s) because Ray Farmer was texting the sideline from the box, a clear violation of league rules. Unbelievable.

^Exactly. So IF (again, total speculation) he violated the policy and was placed in the program, he would not go out for 'one last fling' before going into rehab because it could result in a SECOND violation and a much harsher penalty
