  1. I'm not sure he is crazy enough to play RB in the NFL.
  2. It makes me feel so old to know that the Kelce brothers were in 4th and 2nd grade, respectively, when I graduated from Heights High... Hell, Barry Cofield (a 9 year NFL vet) was still in middle school. Braxton is a lot closer to Pryor than he is to Troy Smith. He just doesn't have the mechanics of an NFL QB and would be well served in the long term by showcasing the skills he has which will translate to the NFL. It is such a shame how these elite athletes (Eric Crouch, Tim Tebow, Terrell Pryor) never make it to stardom in the NFL due to a stubborn insistence on playing QB

Sounds like Okafur is going to wait until next season. Oh well. Dalembert was waived. He is a bit more mobile than Haywood, but I still have concerns a player of his type would clog the lane on offense, off-setting his lane clogging abilities on defense. Ideally, we need a center who defenses will have to guard 10 feet from the basket. Spencer Hawes has not really worked out all that well for LAC. I wonder what it would take to get him back in wine&gold.

When we take the kids downtown, it is most often to go to the science center. I agree with RnR on the placement. As for the idea of giving it some height (yes, I know that was a joke), I love this type of design from Kalahari (Norwalk) for at least one element (of course, this is for an indoor playground so probably won't work....
  5. "Misguided youth rumbles' are not as scary as 'thugs riots' Just about anything sounds better than some random people getting into a fight because one scuffed the others Jordan's
  6. (facepalm) Is there ever a good reason for getting into a fight at the mall on the holidays? It wasn't the Jordan's. We could toss out a few more though just for the heck of it and see how far it spreads through the keyboard crowd. Maybe one girl was dating the other's baby daddy? Maybe one took the last piece of gubment cheese out of the other's fridge without permission? Maybe they both showed up to the mall rocking the same weave?
  7. So the "you stepped on my Jordan's" story about how the Beachwood Mall fight started is not true. Why do people bother making this silly nonsense up?

^Probably too much for a kid. The concern with him is I see no light at the end of the tunnel for Minny. He is going to be on a bad team for awhile and that will make any successes he has hard to judge.
  9. ^La. television station reports.... Last week, it was Oregon. I'm not ruling out the possibility of him transferring, but I would be a little surprised. Maybe Meyer has had a sit-down with Braxton and told him what he needs to hear and Braxton didn't like it..... that he will never be an NFL QB and should come back one more year to try a different position. H-Back in OSU's offense seems to be a fit for him IMO. I see him as a WR in the pros.... a Percy Harvin type of slot WR who has speed to play on the outside too.

^They are highly priced on the secondary market. Supply and demand.

^He's playing better than I expected, but putting up such numbers on a horrible team can be very deceiving. Read this - http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/andrew-wiggins-lebron-james/ A few highlights: - In fact, Wiggins has been one of the worst players in basketball this season — period. Among players logging as many minutes as he has, nobody has a lower Statistical Plus/Minus (SPM) or Box Plus/Minus (BPM) or fewer Win Shares per 48 minutes. And only Channing Frye has a lower Player Efficiency Rating. ESPN’s Real Plus/Minus is slightly kinder to Wiggins, but not by much. -At the end of the season, then, our best guess is that Wiggins will have posted a -2.9 SPM in about 2,400 minutes. While that means Wiggins is no longer in Adam Morrison territory, not many players with a -2.9 SPM their rookie season end up having great careers. A sampling of players in that range as rookies includes Ben McLemore, Anthony Johnson, Gordan Giricek, Kevin Edwards and Vernon Maxwell, with Glen Rice and Rex Chapman representing the absolute best-case scenarios. But Wiggins is also much younger than those players were when they were rookies, so we need to adjust the rookie SPM numbers using an aging curve. - Based on the relationship between age-equivalent rookie SPM and peak WAR for that group, Wiggins looks to be on track for about 6 WAR in the best season of his career. That’d be a major disappointment if the comparison point is James (who tallied nearly 26 WAR in his best year), but then again, it’s better than you might expect based on Wiggins’s horrid statistical production as an NBA rookie thus far.

^It's not stressful at all to watch and hardly disappointing if they lose when they (EDIT aren't) expected to win. I think that what made the past few year's teams bearable to watch. This year's team was supposed to storm right out of the gate, which makes their struggles frustrating.

We have good guys on this team. Rag-tag mercenaries is a bit harsh. They haven't fully clicked yet, for sure. But to even think that you'd rather have the 'rag-tag' bunch of the past few years is crazy. The trades we made mid-season the past two years made out team better. I suspect that we will at least see a little bump up from this deal and whatever else is coming. Amico was comical last night. That guy gets so flustered in the moment and then ends up looking stupid. He tried to 'get ahead' of the reports by saying his "sources" say a big man is involved and coming to the Cavs. Then, when the beat reporters he poaches info from confirmed the pieces to the trade, he backtracked saying his "sources" say a big man is coming in a separate move. Hell..... I could've reported that.

I'm somewhat apathetic about the trade. I liked Dion a lot, but he let me down a lot.... especially this season when I thought he was getting ready to turn a corner. He showed those flashes everyone loved him for, but then would resort to his bad habits. He never improved on his ability to finish at the rim. For someone who gets to the rim at will, that never made sense to me how bad he was at finishing. His relationship with the refs continued to devolve. While the rumors of him and Kyrie not getting along were waaaay overblown, Dion did indeed think he was better than Kyrie and thought the Cavs favored Kyrie over him. That's confidence but crazy too. Kyrie is clearly the superior player. You won't find a reputable talent evaluator who would disagree. I don't think things are going to be much better for him in OKC. If he didn't think he touched the ball enough here, wait until he gets a load of playing on a team with Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and Reggie Jackson. I suspect the Cavs really wanted Shumpert and he should get plugged into the starting lineup at the 2 from day 1. I agree that Smith was probably someone the Knicks wanted to unload, but he can give us whatever Dion was giving us. All three players have shockingly similar stats for this season. The only difference being Smith has reached his ceiling, while Dion and Iman might still have a bit to climb. Not sure Dion will ever be as good as Smith when Smith's mind is in the right place. A motivated JR Smith is one of the more dynamic scorers in the league. He was 6th man of the year the season before last. Being back on the a winning team should help. The real key here, however, might've been that first round pick. That might be the additional asset some team with a spare big man has been asking for....
  15. Winning a Super Bowl does not make you elite. I think most agree that the Giants beat the Pats in that first win for Eli due to their pass-rush on Brady. It was akin to Baltimore's first Super Bowl win, as well as Tampa Bay's. I think 3 years is enough to judge a QB. Teams have plenty of film on him and still can't stop him. Sometimes, players have a good year or two and then the league figures them out. Not him. Putting age aside, if I were to pick a QB to lead my team for just one year, Luck would be at or near the top of my list. What he has done is even more impressive considering that the Colts don't have elite RBs or a great OL.
  16. I think Luck is now firmly entrenched in the 'elite' category. You can stack his numbers for his first three years against any QB in NFL history. As for Dalton, he is not elite..... but he is probably not even in that next tier, which has Rivers, Rothleisberger, Flacco, etc. I am not saying you should throw him to the curb..... but rather to just be open to the possibility of upgrading the position. That's my objective opinion. As a Browns fan, by all means please do ride him out until the red turns gray ;)
  17. You'll never win anything building your offense around a WR. How many times do they touch the ball? 10 times a game on the high end? Green is most definitely a weapon and changes the way a defense has to defend the Bengals, but he can't be the centerpiece. There is no position more important in all of professional sports than Quarterback.
  18. ^Any given Sunday is a phrase for a reason. The Titans COULD have beat the Colts yesterday if they played. I am not judging Dalton on one game. I didn't even watch the game yesterday. I am judging him over his career. Like I said, he is very capable. But he is not and never will be among the top tier QBs and it is rare, although not impossible, to advance deep into the playoffs without a really good QB or at least one who performs exceptionally well in playoff games (e.g. Eli Manning).
  19. Dalton is a very capable quarterback, but if Cincy has a chance to upgrade at that position it would be a smart move. I don't see any glaring weakness on the team and what probably separates it from the more elite playoff teams is the QB position. I would take a swing with an early round pick.
  20. ^^I wasn't saying I don't believe you. I was simply noting the odd coincidence ^Sure. It's just odd that a movie theatre would be the place they would plan to meet up. You don't have to pay $11.50 to get into a fight. You can do that for free at some park.
  21. Not like when I was a kid. I never planned to meet up with people who were not my friends at a movie theatre. I can't remember theatre gatherings being a thing.... especially not theatres on the other side of town.
  22. ^How so? Does one group tweet out the movie they are going to and the other decides to show up and sit right behind them to kick their chair? Seems like it was easier back in the day when you would just plan a fight in the parking lot behind Wendy's. Kids make things so complicated these-a-days.... The rumors that the brawl last week was planned or caused by social media have been debunked, btw
  23. If you want a home in Little Italy, you can buy a home in Little Italy. There are no barriers to purchasing one other than money. I would venture to guess that you'd get more bang for your buck up the hill.
  24. Maybe, but there is also Richmond, East Gate, and probably some more that are a lot closer than Valley View. Certainly it is possible that two different set of teens from CH were sitting in the same theatre, in consecutive rows...... just not very likely.
  25. Two separate groups of teenagers from CH were at the same movie at Valley View? I've never been. What makes that theatre so special?
