What are you watching?
I'm planning on re-watching it. It has been 20+ years since I saw an episode. I remember the show kind of scaring me as a kid in how 'dark' it was..... and kept getting darker as the show went along. I wonder if that was just the kid in me or whether it really was somewhat scary

US Economy: News & Discussion
Well, I can't say I remember your posts CincyDad. I was not referring to the collapse compared to 2008 levels. I was referring to the imminent and dangerous collapse which was supposed to occur AFTER the recession's peak. Not a failure to recover. Not sluggish growth. A devastating collapse that would change life as we know it...... at least that's what some were pining for. Personally, I know very little about economics, but I consider myself pretty good at recognizing false hysteria. As of now, I was right. In a year or two or three or whenever, I may be proven wrong. But I like where I'm sitting at present ;)

^I'm shocked too. I assumed you were going to say that AJ should just 'walk it off' and quit being such a baby about his boo-boo ;)

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
^I like that. Tweet it to Dan G. The gray goes much better with the wine IMO. That said, we are going back to the blue for the reason I stated above. I suppose, however, that the league was given enough notice because word is that the Cavs are going to wear these on opening night. Here is a full image (although in graphic form, not an actual picture). Here, the blue does look closer (but not quite as light) as the Price/Daughtery/Nance era than the former LBJ navy's

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
This reminds me of those fights the 'cool' kids in school orchestrated/instigated between the dorks. Give it up. Both sides. Neither franchise has much of anything to stand on without digging deep into the history books...... especially compared to our two MUCH more successful, albeit despised division rivals Sounds like he re-aggravated his toe injury. Those can be a b!tch. Pretty much all you can do is rest it.

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
^The loss of government jobs was largely due to decisions made down in Columbus to cut state funding for local municipalities. Some were lost as a result of the recession, but the stimulus got us through the roughest patch by preventing mass layoffs.... mostly in the public safety field. Just about the time those funds dried up, the State massively cut its funding and directed it to other priorities as determined by the Governor's office and General Assembly.

Cleveland Relocation Thread
I've heard of snow removal fees being part of HOA dues. Never heard of them being charged separately to rental tenants. That said, despite the common misconception, a rental landlord has no duty to clear the steps, sidewalks, etc. of natural accumulations of snow/ice. I suppose the landlord could very well choose to charge a fee for it. Makes more sense just to roll it into the rent, I would think. It might be for psychological effect..... trying to keep the cheapskates away.

US Economy: News & Discussion
Been a while since this thread was active. What happened to the devastating collapse which was imminent in 2009....... I mean, 2010....... or was it 2011?....... No, it was 2012...... False again, it was definitely going to happen in 2013....... what? We are still here? Nooooooooooooo!

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
No one ever suggested that re-structuring the local economy was going to be painless. But, without looking too deep into it, my gut reaction is the same as ^ in that the data the article relies upon is overly simplistic.

Here's the intro video the Cavs will be using during the preseason. Can't wait to see what they come up for the regular season but something tells me it will heavily involved in the 3D floor projectors http://youtu.be/PocwgXHuDpM

Gotta give CHPD credit for moving quickly again on another highly reported event. Warholak? Sounds Polish. Dang diversity.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Speaking of surgery..... Phil Taylor had his knee scoped today. He will be out a minimum of a few weeks and then re-evaluated. This may be a blessing in disguise. I have been saying for the past few weeks that the move to DE has not been a successful one for Phil. I thought he played exceedingly well at NT last year...... better than Rubin has performed so far this year IMO. I honestly haven't noticed a difference in Rubin between the two positions. They need to move Phil back to the middle, even if you leave Rubin there and rotate the two. That is just one issue with the defense. I think the scheme needs to be changed as well. In previous systems, Pettine has relied on very physical cornerback play with less of an emphasis on over-the-top help from the safeties. That is certainly what he did with the Jets and Buffalo. Not so sure about Baltimore. The point is that style just doesn't seem to work with the CBs handcuffed with the new rules. The NFL (and probably moreso its TV providers) don't want to see another Seattle type "legion of boom" system take the NFL by storm. They want the little, jitterbug WRs to be able to run free in the secondary to continually evolve the league towards regular high-scoring games.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Amico to the rescue (for probably the first and maybe the last time in his media career....... I kid, Sam.... sorta) @SamAmicoFSO - "Kyrie Irving tweaked foot in practice yesterday. All X-rays & MRI negative. Not serious. Cavs just taking extra precaution with treatment."

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Well.... I hope either Windy's twitter has been hacked or the Cavs are playing some kind of twisted joke, because he is saying he just saw Kyrie in Brazil with a walking boot on. Didn't mention crutches and he made the trip, so even if true, I hesitate to assume it is anything serious. EDIT: To be clear, Windy said he "ran into the Cavs as they were going sightseeing in Rio." Again, I really doubt that Kyrie would go sightseeing with a serious foot/ankle injury. He might wear a boot to protect a minor sprain, I suppose. One can hope....

Cleveland: Suburban Crime & Safety Discussion
There is a lot of trouble being REPORTED in CH right now. As we have repeated numerous times on here, there is a reason for that and there is some legitimate debate on whether the higher ups in the police department deserve the resulting flack they are getting (and they are getting a lot of flack for it). But, regardless, even if you buy into the click-bait fluff/narrative NEOMG is putting out, arson is not your typical street crime. It is either the result of the type of criminal mischief you could easily find in any corner of the country or it is what KJP alluded to.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
Why is it Super Bowl or bust? Can't you just enjoy being a fan of a quality team and enjoy the game? I don't personally know any Bengals fans so I am not familiar with their attitudes, but I can tell you that where the Browns fans are today is indeed where they were 9 years ago.... which is where they were 30 years ago. Hope and optimism springs eternal, my man. Indians fans are fair weathered. Browns fans are consistently hopeful and loyal...... to the point of being utterly stubborn about it.

Dewine is Attorney General for the State of Ohio. The U.S. District Attorney is a different office and is under the DOJ. I would probably start with ODOT and/or whatever municipality the signs are located.
