Hoyer was certainly not spectacular last night, but he was the victim of some misfortune out of his control. On his first series, the offense starts off with an early snap when the rest of the line was not ready to block and Hoyer is sacked. Then there is a false start. Then Cameron drops a first down catch on a fairly well thrown ball and we have to punt. Gordon dropped another of his passes on another drive. And that pass to Hawkins in the end zone was not well-thrown, but still catchable. It's not like if Hawkins came down with that pass, it would've made Sportscenter's top plays. NFL receivers regularly (are supposed to) make difficult catches look routine. Aaron Rodgers has practically made a career out of throwing to the wrong shoulder so as to avoid the defense. If not for those two drops and the Hawkins miss, Hoyer would've went 5-6 on pass attempts, and would've had more pass attempts with the resulting first downs. Now.... before you think I am saying that Hoyer is the second-coming, please re-read the first sentence. He still looks 'serviceable' to me. On defense, Armonty Bryant continues to look like he might turn into a pass rushing beast. They are lining him up at multiple positions, including the interior of the line on passing downs. He is going to have a big, big role in this defense. Dansby appears as good as advertised. Taylor seems to be relishing the more freedom he has at DE. The most frustrating thing about last night to me was the amount of penalties. I'm worried about the Pettine defensive system with these new rules on coverage. His system requires the CBs to play physical and aggressive. Regardless, the NFL needs to stop making such drastic changes each off-season to the rules. If anything, the league needs to remove some rules, not add to them. This is going to be a frustrating transition. It seems the league just hates defensive football and wants regular games where a team scores close to 50 points. If I wanted to see that brand of football, I would go watch an arena league game.

Cokehead execs don't have their board meetings televised. Pro sports is a public forum and the leagues don't want any surprises on-camera. Not saying it's fair, just pointing out the facts. So now people who make a lot of money on TV don't do drugs? Please..... And what surprises? Do you think Josh is gonna fire up the bong during a timeout?

The NBA testing program for THC is a joke. You have to be a complete idiot to get caught. Certainly, no one has ever been suspended for an entire season or kicked out of the league because of pot. Once the players agree to HGH testing, the NBA will likely completely wipe out THC testing

Name me one job that pays $1.3 million and gives two sh!ts whether you smoke weed..... Other than the NFL
  7. Word. I learned something new today. I am relatively tech naïve. I just learned last week that I don't have to type "www" when entering a web address.
  8. I was wondering if there was an easier method than uploading the image to photobucket and hosting it myself. That's the way I have always done it. It seemed like a lot of trouble if that was the case. What link did you copy for the picture?
  9. I know how to post a pic as stated in that thread. I just thought you had found an easier method. I didn't think you would've went through the trouble to post a picture which is right there in the link...... just as KJP did not copy, save, create a link for and re-post the picture in the story he posted right above yours.
  10. ^How did you get that picture to post?

Pretty sure Surf was referring to the first Lebron era when Wash had Arenas, Jamison, Butler, etc and we faced (and beat) them in the playoffs 2 or 3 times

Washington and Charlotte are on the rise. Either one of them will present a challenge. Both have a legit center and good depth. If Horford is healthy, the Hawks would also bounce back.

^We wouldn't if we were as talented at our professions as Gordon is at his. But, also, in all likelihood, Gordon's alleged positive test wouldn't have tested positive under most drug testing standards. And, I personally, probably wouldn't have stayed with a job if I could be randomly tested up to 10 times per month, had to report my whereabouts at all time so that such random tests could be administered, had passed 70 random tests and my employer wanted to keep testing me. I'd just find another job. Apples and oranges, to say the least.

^But they still made the playoffs, something most teams won't do when their MVP is lost for the season. Last year, they also ran into that Washington team, which is really on the rise. The predictions for this year largely rely on Rose staying healthy. If he doesn't, they are a team that won't go far in the playoffs, but will likely still make the playoffs. Our team couldn't do that last year. I personally think that we will have the better record, but it is hardly ridiculous to say that a fairly stable 48 win team plus Rose can compete for the conference championship against a 33 win team plus LBJ and Love but also with changeover in the coaching staff and front office. Not ridiculous at all.
  15. It's the Stadium Mustard which really sets it apart.

We won't be paying him at all during any suspension imposed. Good read here - http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory/nfl-seeks-answer-marijuana-24979594

Chicago is a really good team without Rose. They have proved that the past two years. We shall see, but a lot of people more knowledgeable about b-ball than I am are picking them at or near the top without any bias towards or against Cavs or Bulls. Boozer being gone is a plus for them because he went from being a 'lunch pail' kind of player to a finesse player over the past 5 years. He used to earn his shots though hustle and hard work. Now he needs someone else to create his offense for him. Part of the reason he left the Cavs is because he wanted to have more offensive opportunities, which the Jazz offered him. Silas never ran a play for him while he was with the Cavs. He never defended well and that is Chicago's M.O. Gasol is not much of a defender either, but his back-to-the-basket game was sorely needed. They already have a face-up PF in Gibson, and they are sure to use McDermott at the 4 in smaller lineups. Boozer doesn't have any versatility. He can't play the 3 or the 5. He is strictly a 4, and has trouble guarding most 4's in the league. Even if you put aside his prior debacle here, I wouldn't want him on our team.

I think that is a positive for the Bulls. Taj Gibson was a much more effective player in their system. A lot of what the Bulls do will depend on Rose staying healthy. I too doubt he will. But if he does, they are dangerous..... especially if Mirotic and Dougie McBuckets perform as advertised.
  19. Census blocks aren't equal in size. The actual density numbers of those blocks are more telling. The blocks around OSU are the most dense. 'Cleveland's' densest block is actually the one in Lakewood, right on the border, with a density of just under 40,000

25 games on ABC, ESPN, and TNT. Tied for most in the league with Bulls and Thunder. In fact, I think 25 is the maximum
  21. ^No way. Portland. That's the model we like on UO.

You ever notice how poorer kids like to wear clothes (often very cheap clothes) which (they think) makes them look like they have money, while richer kids like to wear clothes (often very expensive clothes) which are designed to make them look poorer? Back more on topic, we have now established there are bros and hipsters. I don't think I fit either. Are there other options available so that I can enjoy a label as well?

I'm not saying they wouldn't be interested in obtaining Hoyer. I just HIGHLY doubt it would be in a swap for Johnson.
