I honestly think they are just not motivated at this point. I won't start to be concerned until the lack of defensive intensity carries into the playoffs. That is where we are lacking at the moment. We are a team that thrives on effort on the defensive end, not so much system. I personally don't want them burning themselves out over the course of the last 12 games of the season. Cruise into the playoffs and then flip the switch. The playoffs are so damn long (2 full months), they have those first two rounds to get things rolling again. It's not a talent issue, it's not a chemistry issue, it's not an issue with the ability to score. Their recent issues have been all about lack of defense. They've probably grown tired of getting the other team's best shot night in and night out. I realize that may say something negative about the team.

^NBA season is already too long. Finals ends in June and regular season schedule starts just four months later. They can't really space it out any better.

Municipal Court are often not limited to one City. Lyndhurst, for example, has a broad coverage area. Cleveland's muni court would also include prosecutions from Bratenahl.

It is a part of the midland accent.... basically the areas directly west of D.C., including southern Ohio

It's not uniform anywhere. People from different parts of Cleveland speak very differently. I can often tell what area someone is from, especially if they are from the south to southwest side if Greater Cleveland. Maybe not a distinction people from outside of Ohio can pick up on. The weirdest accent in Ohio to my ears is Dayton. I don't know WTF that is. Some type of really odd drawl. Columbus and Cincy not so much, but still there.
  6. There actually is an Asian grocery store which I believe is on Miles Rd in Warrensville Hts. I just drove by it the other week and was surprised to find it there. Someone else might know better about exact location. EDIT - it is actually in North Randall (very close to Warrensville Hts) - https://foursquare.com/v/cam-asia-supermarket/4d25d953bcc1224bc168941b

Browns are spending some serious money today. In addition to Britt, they have invested heavily in their O-line by signing GB's center, Tretter, and making Kevin Zeitler (from the Bengals) the highest paid guard in NFL history. They also extended Bitonio for another 5 years at big numbers. So there's the interior of your O-line for the foreseeable future. JT at LT is obvious, but who mans the right side? Probably a battle between Shon Coleman, Cam Erving, and maybe Drango? Please no Erving. Please no Erving.

I am not head over heels about Myles Garrett, but man did he have a great combine. 6'4, 270lb 40yd - 4.6 seconds Bench - 33 reps Vertical - 41 inches He ran just as fast as DeMarcus Ware did at his combine, but Garrett was 20 pounds heavier. His bench press reps are off the charts for a guy with arms as long as his. His vertical would be impressive for any NBA prospect.
  9. ^i wont rule out the possibility, but highly unlikely. Minuscule chance that's how it played out.
  10. ^I think you get a little carried away with your theories about crime networks here in CLE. People drive nice cars into bad neighborhoods. Sometimes they are visiting relatives. Sometimes they live there... it is their home, as odd as it may seem to you. Sad but true that some people spend a good chunk of their salary on a car and skimp on their living. Wasn't a guy who drives a new mustang (or something like that) found living in a storage unit? This isn't John Wick, where the thief shows up at the chop shop and the chop shop owner knows exactly whose car it is and refuses to take it, followed by a call from the local mob boss. Well, at least "odds are" that isn't the case. That would be extremely rare. The crime in Cleveland, at least the criminals you are talking about, can be vicious, but are not all that sophisticated and the network is largely disjointed.
  11. Haha. I love this. Both of my cars are manuals. Won't have it any other way. I strongly prefer it (no it's not because my wife can't operate a manual ;)). And they both have a super sensitive clutch. Even people who know how to drive stick uisually stall out my G when they try to drive it at first. That's why I'm not super concerned if I leave it running. Related but funny story is that about 10-15 years ago, one of my friends was living near Coventry and had one of those older American cars that thieves love to steal. He parked it on Mayfield Rd. one night and when he came down in the morning to move it to the other side of the road (so he wouldn't get ticketed during rush hour), the car was gone. He called me to come over and help him look for it. I told him he was being silly and we would never find that car, but he insisted. Turns out we found it two blocks away. He knew there wasn't any gas in the car (he had planned to go over to that BP on Coventry and Mayfield when he moved the car). That thief must have been piiiisssssssed.
  12. ^^The E152 and E185 entrances to the Shoreway are about 10 mins from where I grew up in CH

With virtually no trade assets, Griff restocked the bench with Korver, both DWills, and Bogut. Give him Exec of the Year Award now.
  14. ^On the flip side, CH has the advantage of NON-freeway access to the second largest (and probably fastest growing) employment center in the NEO region. None of the above. This lot was very close to being developed until the true abatement costs were discovered after more thorough testing. This was the site of an old gas station. When the developer sought further assistance of the City in fraying those costs, that's where the very vocal contingent of the community who want to maintain the green space AND who are anti-new construction found their footing and killed any prospects of a deal being worked out. I'm not sure what Severance has to do with this. Severance has suffered because they tried to put a big box store roundabout in a community that prides itself on its street-front mom and pop shops.

I think the league should start giving a separate award for MVP and MOP (Most Outstanding Player). LeBron should probably win MVP each year even if there is some other player, like Harden or Westbrook, have more outstanding individual seasons. MOP should also be open to anyone, regardless of team record. MVP's almost always come from one of the top 5 teams.

Sounding like we will get Deron Williams once he clears waivers for sure and quite possibly Andrew Bogut too. My guess is Jordan McRae is out and the other DWill sticks

I'm with Kyrie. It's an enormous conspiracy with the government, scientists and airplane pilots all in cahoots. The rest of you are fools for believing what has been spoon fed to you by the elites.
  20. This is cold water, but fact. From an apt POV, Michelle notes low area rental rates per construction costs. The only way to raise those rates is wage growth, which would require a lot more effort to bring in businesses, which would require significant turnover at city hall. But I applaud Stark too. At least he's trying, at least he's hopeful and gives hope to others. City Hall has its issues for sure, but we have seen plenty of local development under the current administration.... and a lot more probably would have occurred but for the financing freeze brought on by the recession. I don't see City Hall as the issue with Cleveland's wages or any perceived lack of development.

we enjoyed regular seasons in 2009 and 2010. Those ended very badly. Its all about May and June. Cavs are still primed to be healthy by then. BUT, i wouldnt be surprised at all if they moved Love. He now has been injured seriously two of the three seasons, thats without the shoulder pulled out of the socket. Sam Amico tweeted cavs ownership has approved all spending. I think the Cavs will make a major move. This was not what I would consider to be a serious injury. It is the type of thing which he could have continued to keep playing with some discomfort and gotten it removed in the offseason. I'm sure if we were closer to or already in the playoffs, that is exactly what would've happened. But since we have some time to spare, he went ahead and got it fixed. It would make no sense to trade him at this point. He is having his best season yet in a Cavs uniform. Some team would need to offer up some serious loot for a trade to make sense for the Cavs.

^That's six weeks he won't be able to suffer the type of injury that might sideline him for the playoffs. There is not much doubt that the NBA season is too damn long. I think this rest before the playoffs will end up being a good thing. It might also give us a chance to experiment with different lineups.
  23. I am surprised that Hooker is not projected in the Top 10. As much as I like Lattimore, Hooker would be the first Buckeye on my Big Board. I don't see any weaknesses.

I think Williams is one of those guys whose combination of size and athleticism made him a beast for that one year at Arizona, but needs more of a basketball skillset to excel in the NBA. I would guess that work ethic is an issue for him.
  25. ^I posted that news in the demolition thread as it was happening. Sad to lose that block and great structure, but it had been struggling for some time now. Repurposing that space did not fail for lack of effort. It was doomed as soon as 20 screen theatres came around and wiped all of these two or three screen joints out. I am actually hoping the City or some other group buys the lot and expands the greenspace already created at the old Medic site.
