  1. When my parents divorced in 1985-86, the first apartments my father moved into were in the "townhome" style buildings behind that strip mall where the Flicker Palace once was. He then moved into those little 4 plexes a year later. It wasn't a terrible neighborhood yet almost 20 years ago, but you could see the signs. I also was enrolled in the KinderCare that is/was on Buford behind a KFC. Can't say I miss any of those places though.
  2. Jeffrey, This really brings back some old memories. My father was an accountant at Dayton Bag & Burlap around 78-80 or so. I used to come visit him at the office all the time and I haven't seen those buildings in 20 years or so. It really is a confusing area if you don't know where you're going. Fred
  3. My grandparents lived on Obell Ct. at Wyoming and Brown behind that middle school (?). It's sad to see that there's just not much left there anymore.
  4. Jeff, As for the second tower located adjacent to Dayton Towers, I believe its name is Jaycees Tower, my late great-grandmother lived there.
  5. I remember it always smelled like fresh cooked bacon in there (maybe, they were smoking meats) and they had sides of beef hanging in refrigerator windows like the ones that Rocky beat down.

Isn't Bellaire where they shot the ending of "The Silence of the Lambs?" In the movie it was the fictional town of Belvedere, OH. Does anyone have any shots of filming locations?
