Pittsburgh part 1
Pittsburgh is definitively one of my favorite downtowns! Its compact, walkable and filled with great architecture. There are very few boring buildings. Even the modern buildings are very interesting.

The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
I gave my cousin and her husband a gift certificate to Lola for Christmas this year and the first thing out of her mouth was "Ooooo but it's not safe downtown". And she lives behind Lake Catholic in Mentor. Yea my experience has been that people from Lake County are the most afraid of downtown. I had a buddy who took a girl to prom from Cathedral Latin and drove her through downtown. She was absolutely terrified!

Cleveland Saint Patrick's Day 2010
Nice! This brings back memorizes of marching in the parade. 3 out of the 4 years it was cold and a miserable experience. Looks like it was pretty warm this year.

Question about apartments in Toledo's Old West End
For what I know about the area it can be a little rough. I saw that the apartments are located on Collingwood street which is a good thing. The general rule for this area is the closer you are to Collingwood street the better off you are. I am not from Toledo so hopefully some Toledo forums can give you a better opinion.

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
This new "Cleveland Model" has a lot to do with ShoreBank's Enterprises work. I am not sure if they are the originators of this type of idea but I know that they have strongly supported it financially and are continuing to look for ways to develop low-income talent and minority business owners

Cleveland: The Residences at 668 Euclid Avenue
I have gathered the feeling that the Avenue District is just on hold because of the economy. That is also something that I am wishing. Another possible problem with the avenue district may be that it doesn't have the drawing power of Euclid right. There just is not that much to do in that part of downtown.

Cleveland - Flats/Lake scenes
I really noticed this over my Winter Break when I took a little walk down to the swing Bridge. There must have been millions of sea gulls. It was just unbelievable. I felt like I was at a bird breeding ground at a national park.
