AsiaTown Cleveland
It would be good to also post this in Cleveland Developments or Northeast Ohio Developments...Anyway... This sounds like a wonderful idea!! I am so impressed with all the green/ urban garden initiatives occuring right now in Cleveland (especially on the east side.) I see this project as having the potential not just to create synergy with the Asiatown neighborhood but the immediate neighborhood developing in the east (The Avenue District). This center could be a great draw for people living in the Avenue district and provide them with a year-round farmer's market. The idea of a farmer's market in downtown is just awesome!!It sounded from the article like this development was going to occur? Is this true or is the development still in the planning stages?

Recession 09: Dallas & Austin
Great shots!! I get more and more impressed with Dallas the more I see it. There are actually a significant amount of historical buildings... Are there any nice urban neighborhoods in Dallas outside of downtown?

Art Institute of Chicago - December 17, 2009
Great shots.. Thanks for sharing! At first glance I thought that the skyline shot with the shades covering it was a canvas. By the way... (not to say anything less about the Chicago Art Museum) do many people realize that the Cleveland Art Museum is free 24 seven? This is just amazing to me!

Beautiful Toledo
Cool I am looking forward too it. I think that I have an aunt know now lives in New North Toledo. Maybe I'll get to it first over Christmas?! When I say Northside I'm thinking of the neighborhoods north of I-75 along W. Sylvania. I guess the offical neighborhood is called Five Points. I think you have three photos in the LaGrange and Old West End Neighborhoods... I think I know where you mean. The area near Douglas and Sylvania has a housing stock very similar to Westpark. As you head east of Douglas toward Detroit, it gets a bit more gritty, but definately photo worthy...the Mancy's steakhouse area. That's an area I'm planning to explore next. North Toledo can be divided between "Old North End" (Vistula, Lagrange, Northriver) and "New North Side" (even though it's pre-WW2). The area you mentioned would be part of the latter since it's outside I-75/I-475. Nevertheless, there's some great architecture up there and I plan on covering the Five Points, Douglas, Phillips, Sylvania, North Detroit, and other good urban areas in the more overlooked parts of North Toledo. There are a lot of areas in Toledo I have never photographed.

Clayton Missouri
Agreed... St. Louis has a thing for exclusive neighborhoods and private roads. There were also numerous wealthy neighborhoods in the actual city of City Louis which were closed off to the public and had gates.. Almost like a gated community in the city

Little Rock, Arkansas
Great Stuff InK!! I just saw that one of Little Rock's Streets got nominated by the APA magazine has having one of the countries top streets. I believe it was President Clinton Avenue... BTW how were the residential neighborhoods?

Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
This sounds like a great idea!! I really hope that it goes through... I am really getting excited about the proposed terminus park of the tow-path and the synergy a tow-path and a rowing house could create in the flats. Does anyone know where the proposed tow-path park is suppossed to be located?

Cleveland: Random Development and News
This Evergreen Cooperative is just wonderful!! I checked their website and saw that they have been involved in numberous housing projects, commercial plazas and urban agriculture. I wish more of their projects were posted and projects on the east side in general...

Clayton Missouri
Clayton Missouri This is St. Louis's wealthy neighbor to the west. The city is characterized by many mansions from the turn of the 19th century. Parts of Washington university reside in Clayton. Also there is a sizable downtown in the city. I was not able to get to this part of the city but there are some pictures of it on urbanohio's main page. These shots are along Clayton's main commercial district: Clayton Road: Ok now for the mansions... Opps... I guess I didn't abide with this sign :-P There is even a community park in the middle of this residential development :-o There shall be no speeding in Clayton!! :police: Now for the crappy houses in Clayton!!... Ok that's not true they're just less enormous! A rabbit has been located! Look closely... This is a very nice commercial district tucked into the city... Just to the east of this commercial district there is a huge district filled with apartments. Somewhere in the district the apartments are within St. Louis city limits. Not sure where though...
