Heartside Warehouse District (Grand Rapids, MI)
How is the rest of GR doing? Has it been hit as hard as other Michigan cities but the loss of manufacturing jobs?

Washington D.C.- Part III- Kalorama Heights
Kalorama Heights Here is a neighborhood that many are unfamiliar with. Its located North of all the Embassies with Connecticut Avenue as its main artery. Its characterized by many of the same row houses seen in Adams Morgan but a much high percentage of historic apartment buildings. This is just Amazing!! This is the guardian of the bridge over Rock Creek Parkway Woodley Park....

Washington D.C. Part II- Adams Morgan
Adams Morgan I'm going to do my best to narrow down the amount of photos I took. There were photo opportunities everywhere I looked. So Adams Morgan is a little difficult to define where it is. This map was the best way I found to show its location. Adams Morgan can be described as a high end gentrified area. The majority of the architecture is composed of beautiful Victorian and Brownstone houses and row houses. The neighborhood also has a nice stock of historic apartment buildings mostly on the Western Edge of the neighborhood. Art Deco... Kalorma Park.. Here is Adam Morgan's main commercial drag-18th Street... I had lunch at the Jumpo Pizza Place. It was the gressiest Pizza I've ever had in my life! Somewhere is this group of photos we transition to Florida Avenue than Conneticut. I don't remember when this happens Next....Dupont Circle!

Washington D.C. Part 1 (Georgetown)
I finally am getting around to posting my Washington D.C. photos. I took these shots over the memorial day weekend. This is the first of three posts These buildings are on the Edge of Georgetown closest to Washington Circle: Now for the real Georgetown. Here's the main drag M Street: Its almost impossible to limit the amount of pictures I took. There were just spectacular buildings everywhere I looked! Here's a little pedestrian mall... Aww the canal. I loved this... This is a really cool reuse. The community is like a separate entity from the rest of the neighborhood.. Here are some shots right along the Potomac River.. Here's the way to do a parking lot... Georgian Style Downtown Arlington.. Watergate... You know a neighborhood is thriving when it has an urban mall like this.. Now for the residential! As I went further east and closer to Adams Morgan the houses began to get massive. I can't even imagine how much these cost. I just missed seeing this place. It closed at 5 This marks the beginning of Adams Morgan...

Parsons Avenue Part I: The Northern Half - Columbus
An interesting thing about Cleveland is that these type of commerical routes are plentiful. There's Lorain, most of Detroit, St. Clair, Carnegie, Broadway etc. After hearing the lack of long commerical roads in Columbus I realized that Cleveland is blessed to have these. Its just unfortuante that none of them are devoid of blight and are under investment. I would love to see the city place a priorty on bring back Lorain Avenue; especially with the decent housing stock surrounding most of it. NICE Post by the way. Sorry I got on my soap box here ;)

Cleveland: Weston / Gilbane Warehouse District Plans
Good stuff on Baker Hostetler. No offense taken. Its hard to tell exactly what people are trying to say online.

Cleveland: Weston / Gilbane Warehouse District Plans
The law firms that are moving are doing so because they have outgrown their current space... so you can take your "no-growth" argument and shove it pal :behind: No need to get personal here. This is great news and I'm glad to hear the tenants that are moving in are not simply shifty office spaces like some many other companies in downtown

Shots from the top of Key Tower
I did not realize the extent to what was torn down until I looked at some pictures of the Warehouse district. The district basically was the entire area west of public square to the flats including the whole prison system too.

Yes I completely agree. I have to look at those surface lots from the Rockefeller building everyday from work ;( There is fortunately a proposal by Weston developers to redevelop land between Superior- St. Clair and W3rd-W6th

Shots from the top of Key Tower
So I had the privilege of catching some stunning shots from the top of the Key Tower. The shots were from the 49th floor where Squire Sanders resides. The only reason I got up here is because my aunt works here. Here is the view to the East: These were taken from the West... These shots were actually taken from Fredrick Nance's office. Pretty nice view ;) Photos from the BP Atrium:

Relocation assistance for work: From Boston to Cleveland
Hey... You don't need to fear about riding the transit. From all my experiences it has been safe. You will run into many poor people and it may be a little unconfortable for you, but I have never had troubles. The first thing I suggest would be locating in Euclid. There are plenty of inexpensive apartments in the city. The city is relatively safe. If you are looking for the most lively area in a walkable distant I would suggest living around E 185th street. This may be a little more unsafe than other areas you could settle in Euclid. (parts of this are actually in the city of Cleveland). If you like urban areas and livlier areas I would suggest: -Cleveland Hts in the area around Euclid Hts and and Coventry. Coventry is one of the most exciting places in the Cleveland area. -Shaker Square/ Larchmere area... Most of this area is in Cleveland but some is in Shaker Hts. This is also a very exciting place in the Cleveland area also I don't feel it is as safe as the Coventry area. I still feel that its moderately safe. Some others could help you determine this better than I could. I can't help with transportation with these two places since I'm a westsider and do not know the routes. You can check out the RTA website to check out the routes: http://www.riderta.com/ If you're interesting in any westside neighborhoods or more suburban locations just let me know.. I hope this helped

Cleveland: Weston / Gilbane Warehouse District Plans
Do we know if there are any tenants coming from outside the Cleveland area or expaning on existing offices in Cleveland rather than just receiving tenants who are relocating from other offices. I really worry they building new office space, especially in a no-growth area like Cleveland is just shifting around office tenants.

Canton, Ohio: Seat of Stark County
Just FYI, that's Fawcett Stadium. :) Good catch!! Thanks, but even if you're not into football, these things get drilled into your head when you live in the Massillon/Canton area. :D Yea I can definitively see that.

Columbus - Part 5
I particularly appreciated the detailed photos you took of the historic buildings. I really liked the detail on the LeVeque tower. That building is truly amazing!!
