Cincinnati to Detroit: Where to Photograph?
By neighborhood to the North would include Vistula, Lagrange. South: Southside West: Old West End is a Gem and the village of Ottawa and Toledo neighborhood North of UT (main campus) have a lot of nice old mansions East: Eas Toldeo is probably worth a visit The Warehouse district just south of downtown Toledo is very impressive.

Wilmington, Delaware
I feel it has many similarities with Annapolis. Although I would definitively choose Annapolis over Wilmington.

Athens Revisited
Very Nice.

Duluth, Minnesota
That did a very nice job with their lakefront access for a city of their size. BTW did you hit up the Red Lobster!

money earnin mount vernon, ny
That's a really interesting community. Seems like there are some wealthy and impoverished areas but mostly middle class neighborhoods. Has the city always had this type of make-up or has it recently improved?

Rochester, Minnesota
On the question of Clinc vs Mayo I certainly feel the urban form and connection with the rest of the city is much better with Mayo than Clinic. Even their public spaces are very accessible. I get so upset with the Clinic and their newest green space project (the one with the lengthy pool) because people cannot reasonably access it. I also think University Hospital does a pretty good job connecting with the urban framework.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Those Falls are very neat and yes the rest of the town looks very nice. Ahh if Middletown could just believe they could be something like Sioux Falls. That's half the battle.

Fargo, North Dakota
I definitively think it is still better than the movie. Man that is a disturbing movie!

Downtown Department Stores
I don't think that having a downtown mall is always a bad thing. But I do believe they should be placed in urban areas with vibrant retail already in place and serve as an "over flow" to gain more retail and stores in this concentrated areas. Areas where I see this phenomenon occurring include Water Tower Place Mall along Michigan, Liberty Place Mall off of Chestnut street in Philadelphia and that Victorian Area mall located on M street in Georgetown. This malls do not seem to "steal" stores that would otherwise be located on the street nor to the really hurt pedestrian traffic since these corridors are filled with street-level retail.

Cleveland: Historic Photos
Does anyone know the story with the Embassy Theater? It looks like the National City Building razed it or the modernist building constructed in the 40s that I cannot recall.

Downtown Cleveland Christmas Lights.
This takes me back to my childhood! It seems that back in the 90s there was a lot more Christmas decorations on public square and especially inside tc. Now public school is basically just white lights on the trees.

This is very interesting. I new knew anything about this. Do you know any other buildings than Halle's that he was involved with?

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
This article is way to positive in my opinion. Cleveland is losing one of its most beautiful schools in this demolition. Cleveland has lost so much of its historic school architecture recently. I wish they could have renovated the building or built an addition instead of demolition.

The Josephinum in Columbus
Yes I did here some of this during the tour. There were lots of tensions at that time between Irish, Italian and German Catholics. Apparently the bishop was Irish at the time and having the seminary under Vatican rule was a way to avoid the oversight and possible oppression from the diocese.
