Cleveland: Port Authority News & Info
I imagine that if done right new condominiums can be in close proximity to a functioning port. I think it would be very cool to be living next to a thriving port at the month of the Cuyahoga River. I remember going to church at St. Malichi's in the 90s hearing the steamboats and freighters come into town. Obviously there will need to be considerations taken with the amount of noise the port will create and ensure it does not reach such a high threshold that living near a port is unbearable. Another challenge for any lakefront development is creating connected public space or parkland between the east bank of the flats and the east 9th pier. This will be a challenge with a functioning port inbetween.

The Josephinum in Columbus
The Josephinum, the local Columbus Seminary, had a public tour yesterday. The building is most stunning from the outside built by Irish and German immigrants during the great depression. But there are also so nice features inside the seminary also. I couldn't resist taking a shot of my patron saint. The main entrance As you can see with the Vatican flag on the left this is actually papal ground. This is the only property the papacy owns outside of the embassy in the United States. This is Pope Benedict's Crest This is the Vatican's Crest Nice Organ in the main church Apparently there used to be a beautiful motif in the front of the church behind the alter but they covered it up since it was having tons of water damage. Very Sad! Here is their lovely chapel The Phoenix! This was in their library. It is one of the original German Bibles from the late 1400s

Could you fill me in a bit on the K station project. So is this project in the west Loop neighborhood? Are they building a complete cap over the highway similar to what occured in Columbus?

To Chicago and Back in the Summer of March 2012
I personally am a fan of the Trump Tower. While its streetlevel presence is not great I love how the clear blue windows reflect the sunlight. Also are there tables on the Megabus!? If that is so megabus is a million times better than Greyhound. Ohh how I wish there was a route between Cleveland and Columbus.

Cleveland's Central neighborhood: Hope Sprouts From The Weeds
Great Discussion and debate! It is wonderful to finally get more exposure to one of the largest new housing developments in Cleveland. I do agree that this was not the most idea type of development but we have to remember that Cleveland was most focuses on changing perspections about Cleveland and building new housing. In fact this was a time period when Cleveland has the highest number of new house builds in the area. I hope now that with more experience the new infill housing can be less auto-oriented and more similar to "street-car topology".

NJT Riverline towns : Downtown Camden
This has been a long time coming. Great to see a Camden Post! Do many times have I passed the city on the highway and not taken the time to see the city. Looks like there are definitively some positive things going on downtown. I'm guessing that having a Rutger's presence has really helped?
