  1. Great. Six months of downtown construction coming up.
  2. Taqueria La Lomita? I've been to the others, but where is this one? Have you tried La Raza?
  3. The Vandalia location is moving to Huber Heights, as well. Or is it the other way around?
  4. There will be two more Rapid Fired pizzas in Englewood before Mod finally opens their location.
  5. So what's going on in the old New York Pizza location on Fifth? Months ago, it was reported someone bought it with the intent of using it as a restaurant. That was the last word, and there are no signs of life in that building.
  6. If that was a place known for their ice cream, it's a different Swenson's. That was a national chain.
  7. I know it's besides the point, but they don't call their hummus vegetarian/vegan, do they? They should clarify if they don't say, one way or another.
  8. Who would want to go to Schvitz when you're already schvitzing? When it's not so hot, then you need a schvitz.
  9. I'm not quite sure, after reading the article, how this will be any different from any other Indian restaurant, but I am happy to see napkins will be available if needed. Good luck to them.
  10. Better they move again than go under. They've got a nice, eclectic menu, and maybe the move away from downtown will let them be able to expand hours.
  11. ... and this address (18 Franklin Street) is the former home of the Bellbrook Pizza Cottage, which had been there for at least 40 years (we ate there when I was in college. biking through town.) The Business Journal doesn't impress me - the writer doesn't bother to Google a street address. The writer may well have done that. The editor probably removed it.
  12. Food would be nice. But a drink can be good, too.
  13. This is great. Nothing against Jazz Central, they do a great job, but this is something the area needs, IMHO.
  14. Wright Wings is decent enough. It's too bad about Buckin' Donkey, though.
  15. I saw that Ha Ha pizza will be opening a Xenia location this month. It's located across from the Greene County Courthouse on Main St. http://xeniaword.com/2014/07/19/ha-ha-pizza-coming-soon/ Xenia, as present, doesn't have any non-chain or franchise places dedicated to pizza, although Between the Buns does offer pizza.
  16. They look so happy about it.
  17. Great. I knew someone else had picked up the tradition, but had not seen anything for this year. Thanks.
  18. Is the city of Lyndhurst displaying it again this year?
  19. Bagger Dave's is pretty good. The ones I've been to have full bars, which is something Smashburger and Five Guys do not have.
  20. I saw they're opening another Donut Palace in the strip mall on Salem that is in front of Loew's. Does anyone know if the location on James H. Mcgee does more than donuts. coffee and ice cream? I only drove by it but I did see a sign that said chitterlings were offered. I couldn't tell if that was Donut Palace or it was something the Rut's carryout was doing.
  21. I am dying to try it, with reservations. Will it still be as good? They have the chicken, they have the broasted potatoes. But will it be the same chicken, the same potatoes? Either way, it's great to see. And Benjamin's settled on a new location, as well.
  22. Super Subby's-Miamisburg. http://www.mostmetro.com/dayton-dining/chicken-louies-resurrected-in-miamisburg-subbys-wing-dinner-giveaway.html
  23. My understanding is they do keep their own hours, so I probably have just been out of luck. I can only keep trying. Thanks for your help.
