  10. yeah it must be personal experience or just that downtown is "safe". Let's see two broken windows on two separate occasions and a slashed tire i must have bad luck or maybe there's no police? haha
  11. how about the cleveland schools?? Services?? crime?? main reasons people hate cleveland some people in earlier posts left out these.
  12. yes i agree a city is measured by its height but in the case of Jacobs 21 story tower this is good because it adds density but if we could get some developers to build along the lake or the river with some highrises like i said it would really make Cleveland standout. But of course this is easier said than done due to our economy.
  13. Jacobs building is good for the skyline because it ads density. I believe thats what makes a good looking skyline. Cleveland needs in the "future" taller buildings away from public square 40+ stories to give the city a more populated look. Not just buildings in one area look at chicago for instance. it would be nice to see some skyscrapers along lake Erie. This is my opinion.
  14. in the plain dealer yesterday in the realestate section there was an advertisement for the avenue district that stated there were only 2 townhomes available in the first building is this true? Is demand that high?
  15. Any New updates on Bridgeview Commons Shopping Center? We already know Jcpenny's,Target, and lowes is going there anything else?

  20. why is everyone complaining???? This is great for the city and if everyone is having coronaries over a "suburban like campus" then that means we need to get the Cleveland clinic out of the city and university hospitals, because there too much like suburban buildings. O yea i almost forgot we should move Applied Plaza out of the city too!! :whip:
  21. Even if it is a suburbanized corporate park at least they would be staying downtown and not moving to the burbs.
  22. well i hope things move fast and i hope this works out it sounds promising
  23. cd-cleveland yes i know 35,000 people live in the neighborhood, and the median income was over $45,000 but alot has changed since then one of my uncles moved out of old Brooklyn and moved to independence, he made $100,000+, his reason for moving "these damn ni**ers" i really never understood what that meant until i asked him, he said it was just getting hard to sleep thats all you heard every night was yelling and people running down the street chasing each other, He noticed a huge change in the demographics of the people there. I drove down his street to see where his house was and his street when he was moving had 3 houses for sale his and 2 others but now there are over 13 out of 28. i couldn't believe it and he was just amazed. i agree old Brooklyn was the nicest part of Cleveland but it has changed for the worst
