  1. yes those are the fastest growing neighborhoods but i believe those are the highest forecloser areas too, i mean have you actually drove threw those areas not the main street where they make it look like this is the best place to live go down each of the sidestreets it looks like the Ukraine after the Chernobyl accident.
  2. [/img] Westlake: The median income for a household in the city was $64,963, and the median income for a family was $81,228. Males had a median income of $60,429 versus $36,999 for females. Woodmere: The median income for a household in the village was $32,102, and the median income for a family was $46,250. Males had a median income of $31,364 versus $28,214 for females. Remember trader Joes in woodmere is placed less than a mile from some of the richest cities in the state And the graph for steelyard commons pretty much proves that there is low income families living 3 miles away and remember those statistics from the steelyard website are 2006 figures Cleveland has taken a huge hit since then those incomes are even lower now. and i don't even know why they show 7 mile radius, if go more than 7 milesyou mine as well just go to Brooklyn and shop or garfield heights or lakewood. And I'm not saying that trader Joes shouldn't move to steelyard but i don't see why they would.
  3. yes it looks like a good place for trader Joes it would be exactly in the middle of the two already built in woodmere and one in westlake i can't see why they wouldn't move to steelyard, The only reason they wouldn't move there is because of the income of the people who live around there, they usually want to be in a high income neighborhood (that is why they are located where they are now)
  4. OK but what is the deal with every developer saying that they have a big tenant how many are out there? i think they are just hyping all there projects but they won't be as big as there saying
  5. i drove down by stonebridge today and it was pretty nice at stonebridge but whats the big deal about the east bank, besides stonebridge everything else is pretty crappy I don't know how people live down there right now
  6. who give a crap, at least there will be an office tower going up JOBS!! something Cleveland doesn't understand who cares what it looks like and for the moron who said theres too much parking no sh*t nobody lives in the city and no one takes the bus everyone drives from the burbs who cares at least theres finally some action downtown
  7. come on now think about it if you were a store owner would you build in a city that had an average income of $23,000 and 26.3% of the population and 22.9% of families are below the poverty line. It just doesn't make any sense why do you think randall park mall failed, that place use to be one of the top malls in the nation now its just about gone. the reason people who live around there have much lower income and they DO NOT spend the money. why does southpark mall and beechwood mall and Great Northern do so well because people have money where they are built. SYC is going to be low-grade stores
  8. this would be great for the city!!
  9. i highly doubt that a jcpenny's or Kohl's will move to SYC i haven't heard anything about it but people in Cleveland look for cheap stores. I don't see how they could move to SYC
  10. if your so worried about disease don't shop their. Heck i don't shop there when i can shop in the suburbs and i don't have to worry about my car getting stolen, getting mugged or picking up some weird disease.
  11. Is there any news on this project or was it just a rumor
  12. you said that right!!! does anyone know how many jobs are actually moving here since the PD didnt explain that
  13. how about they build the medical mart in university circle then that will spur more building of hotels, restaruants, etc. then the people can take a bus on euclid avenue to downtown? lol
  14. how tall is this building going to be?
  15. hello??? developers have no money to turn the warehouses into residential, and if they do turn them into residential space who would want to move in??, who would want to live in a warehouse in cleveland and worry about getting shot or mugged when you walk outside?? why not move to the burbs and get whatever you want and not have to worry about any problems. And the reason these warehouses are going up in smoke is because these developers are falling on hard times so why not just burn it down and recover the insurance. I know this because i know a firefighter who is my friend and he has told me what is going on. You can't get the truth from the paper or the news.

yes i have been to new york city, chicago, and Boston. the problem is Cleveland is not a major city those cities are 20 times the size of Cleveland, the crime is less in those cities than in Cleveland. its simple math. also i do have an employer and i do own a business. and i am tolerant of cities but when u call and nothing happens you get just alittle ticked off.

i have done everything, when the police come right up to you and say they will not respond to the things i stated its a little sad i mean there is no one who will do anyhting about anyhting in this city. i have tried everything the city just keeps getting worse and worse that why i am leaving.
