  1. ^the thing about ntc is that you can just sit in the bar and not pay for the "band room." that way punk cheapos can concentrate on drinking. tonight is bike night there, up to $5 off your first beer if you bike there. (bicycle)
  2. ya, on the front patio of ntc there's a sign saying 'please don't feed the crackheads'
  3. i've been to the beachland a bazillion times, never once did i feel unsafe. i, however, am a 6'3" male. even so, i've never been asked for money by bums over there, which has happened in to me in southeast lakewood.
  4. my $.02: lakewood or tremont is more fun if you are into indie music stuff cooler nearby venues: now that's class, happy dog
  5. ^when i was enrolled at case i was amazed at how indifferent many students were to the city at large. a few years have passed, i think the attitude has changed with the current undergrads/new grads i know.
  6. i realize cleveland doubles aren't for everyone, but i'm living alone in one in lakewood (upper floor) and i like it a lot. it's way better, imho, than living in an apartment complex. am i just lucky that my downstairs neighbor isn't a complete wackjob? what sucks so bad about cleveland doubles? They are good for a quasi-transient person like me (current position ending in 3 years) who doesn't want to buy.
  7. cool. i await part II.
  8. it's pretty much as central as you can get, really. the campus is shaped like a boomerang pointed west (disregarding the UH portion), and this would fit at the curvature.
  9. ^i just rode my bike past that yesterday (pre tweed ride)
  10. i made the same move last summer (tol to lkwd), and i too live walking distance to the new cozumel.
  11. this area is my home turf wickliffe: city hall at the corner of ridge and bishop is a nice specimen. it's at coulby park. el charrito in wickliffe has solid mexican food sussex for fish and chips (geriatric crowd, if that matters) gabriel brothers discount shopping mecca (although i've been finding better things at the mentor store) two golf courses on ridge willowick: lakefront park (small but ok enough, no beach tho) unique thrift there's a cool little area north of lakeshore just east of lloyd in euclid (yes i know not lake co), a street called Wondergrove (street view it), a pleasant stroll. downtown willoughby seems to have new restaurants/establishments opening frequently. the north chagrin reservation of the metroparks reaches into willoughby hills. this is probably the first time i've heard of someone being interested in the area.
  12. love the pats in the flats shot
  13. it's mostly a snoozefest sometimes 93.9 from windsor ends up on our shores, it's way better for adult alternative

  19. re: biking up cedar hill you can always carry your bike up the elephant stairs among the south side dorms at case.
  20. ^ both hoods (the 2 homes in wickliffe are 3 streets apart) are heavily sidewalked (not that there's anything to walk to in seven hills) 8^) i do prefer lakewood, with people out and about. (capt obv)
  21. 1930 lakewood (cleveland double) grew up in 1967 seven hills split level, then 1969 wickliffe ranch, then 1959 wickliffe bungalow
  22. could Metro have been a catalyst for Steelyard?
  23. lakewood gained one: me
  24. i second the north side of euclid heights.
