  1. This is awesome!!!! I really am considering moving downtown in the near future.
  2. Thought I would pass this along to everyone. First of its kind in the country, and it's located in Over The Rhine. Pretty cool  http://www.pharmacyotr.com/
  3. Activity level on that forum is really active as well and it seems a lot of people who are thinking of moving here post up questions about Cincinnati before they move here.
  4. I came across the website forum at http://www.city-data.com/forum/cincinnati/ and noticed a lot of negativity about Cincinnati from the people on that forum. Some of the comments are incorrect. I think we (downtown Cincinnati ambassadors) should join that forum and start shedding positive light on Cincinnati.
  5. This would be a nice addition to downtown.
  6. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20071018/NEWS01/310180049/ Did anyone see this article? Wonder if Duke knows something we don't? I hope this isn't a set back.
  7. well what are some of the places...names would be helpful. These co-workers moved here from MI and Buffalo. Would just like to pass on some good places to go.
  8. gotch ya......I was just talking with my wife and she said some of her co-workers live in OTR and say they like it, but are thinking of moving because they can't find places to go out after 6. Hopefully the street car will solve that problem.
  9. I'm all for outside seating, it's always nice to sit outside while dining. Restaurants\bars should start using more outside seating, it attracts people.
  10. Forgive me, but I'm still trying to famalarize myself with downtown, but what is "Gateway"
  11. I think a good idea is to try and get some kind of commitment by some restaurants, retail, and especially a grocery store(KROGER) commit to buying property along the line some where. I'm all for the streetcars, but I'm affriad it will fail because the people of cincinnati won't except it, make use of it, etc.....
  12. Does anyone go to fountain square on Sundays during Bengals away games? My wife and I and some friends went down once. Interesting mix of people. One thing that did catch my attention was the number of what seemed to be tourist. Their was definitly 2 seperate groups of people that we saw that wern't speaking english and looked foreign.
  13. So what's the latest with this then? Is their going to be a grocery store downtown? Would like to find out more because that is going to be a determing factor if we move downtown.
  14. Excuse my ignorance, but what is SCPA? Also, for what purposes are they doing demolishing? Just curious.
  15. With all that development, they need to put a grocery store in Downtown Cincinnati.
  16. I think that downtown Cincinnati needs to start advertising more. I've seen some advertising on the highways, but I'm talking TV commercials. Also, peoples images of Cincinnati need to change. I'm not sure about everyone else on here, but I'm in favor of the street car downtown. Their seems to be a fair amount of people against the street car and those same people are the ones who have a bad image of downtown. Interesting comments of the street car can be found here: http://frontier.cincinnati.com/comments/threadview.asp?threadid=177
  17. I too moved here 4 years ago from PA. and I can tell you that I wasn't planning on living here and buying a home, but fell in love with Cincinnati. It's a great city and I think a big problem is that the people, esp. the young, don't give the city any credit. My wife and I temporarly moving over seas for 2 years, and I can tell you that if the banks project, street car project, etc....aren't moving forward, we may actually look at another city to live in. Just my 2 cents.
