  1. Good speach......and I like the idea of "connecting downtown with uptown" when talking about the streetcar.
  2. Wow never knew that. So was their a Kroger once where home emporium is now?
  3. That would be great if Christian Moerlein was brewed in OTR.
  4. ummmmm....good reason for mass transit!
  5. I agree.....at least build something!!!!!!!!!
  6. I wonder what's next? I am happy that the city didn't back down and stood their ground! Good job!
  7. That would be cool if after QSII is built a few new skyscrapers get built.
  8. Also...................does anyone know if Jean-Roberts new place called Lavomatic has opened yet?
  9. It is nice to see the all the attention downtown restaurants are getting. I also agree that downtown could use some more "fast food" places, even though I don't really like to eat a them. Sometimes it's just more convienent when you don't have time.
  10. Well I think it's nice that they are developing the former K-Mart area, but it would be cool if they leveled the old store and parking lot and made it a dog park or some green space of some sort. As far as Aldi's moving into the former hollywood video store, it seems a little small for an Aldi's.
  11. wow that old picture looks so cool.
  12. I feel that Forbes tries to get more and more "eye catching" polls just for press coverage and to get people talking.
  13. Turning it into a nightclub would be kinda cool! Sad that it caught fire though.
  14. I would like to check those out this Saturday....cool
  15. I didn't know that house was vacant
  16. I think it's Speakeasy and Harry's Pizza that you saw. Oops! For some reason I thought I read across street from Cue.
  17. I guess we'll just have to wait and see on this one......
  18. I would put my money on late spring-mid summer.
  19. When I first moved here, I remember going to the TGIF on the barge across the river. Then I guess that barge sunk, so I woudn't be surprised to see TGIF reopening a store in or around downtown. I think it would be great to have a "chain" restaurant downtown to attract those people who aren't very comfortable in trying local downtown places. Once those people get used to dining downtown, then they may be more likely to try other places downtown.
  20. I think it's Speakeasy and Harry's Pizza that you saw.
  21. Looks like they got some cheap steel....maybe with cooper in it - which would make it brittle.
  22. Looks like good progress for sure!
  23. I would rather seem them stay on Main St., but at least they are staying in OTR.
