^I agree with fighting crime the way NYC did, but also agree with the promotion\development of downtown. What I don't agree with is why can't both plans happen. Why does it just have to be one or the other. I think it's possible to do both at the same time!

Isn't Clinton county(Ohio) near Wilmington already in the process of getting a casino? I think if they do put a casino near the riverfront, it may cause some termoil with the banks project, etc...

A new jail isn't going to solve\reduce crime.....if it is....I would like to know how? It's just a matter of time until that jail is full and we are back to square one.

^yup and Deters is mad that the jail tax didn't pass so he's pressing the issue trying to make everyone think that crime is getting worse and a jail is needed so the next time it is on the ballot it gets passed.

I've got faith that this will get resolved before it delays any kind of ground-breaking.

I can't stand how the enquirer reports stories like Mcfadens.....they make it seem like it shutdown because of slow business or something. What I'm thinking is that they report that story first and then save the fact that it will be reopening for a second story. They get two stories out of one.
