Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
From what I understand the reason is that bus routes change. Just ask the business owner who had a steady stream of customers coming from a bus stop and then bam, just like that the bus route changes and the customers stop. A streetcar is a permanent fixture in the street and can't be moved\changed all that easily. So in conclusion, a streetcar is perminate where a bus route is not.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Ya, I would rather it be taller then wider, but we can't always get what we want now can we. On a side note.....I had a dream that P&G released an announcement that they were going to construct a new skyscraper as well.

Cincinnati: Would West 5th/4th Make a Good Entertainment District?
^I don't go to Newport either as much as I did when I first moved here. The only place I really don't mind going to is the Hoff House

Cincinnati: OTR: North Main Street Discussion
Great new and a positive story for once in the enquirer. It would be cool if somehow one of those stories that's in the enquirer posted a link to this message board......On a side note: I hope Marino's bar isn't Pittsburgh themed like the bar in Corryville is. WHO DEY!

^When I have thoughts like that, I think about subways in NY or light rail in Baltimore, etc....their is always going to be some element of crime and risk on such ventures. I think the positives will far outway the negatives.

Looks like another case for someone who wants to write and sell a book to make some money.

Cincinnati: Downtown - Parker Flats
I would much rather have roof top access like 4th and Plum. I think more and more condo's downtown should try and include some sort of roof top access with floral and a pool.

Cincinnati: State of Downtown
It will be interesting to watch and monitor the state of downtown as the holiday's are now over. On a side note, I heard that the ice rink at FS may stay open longer into the new year due to better then expected sales.

If Ohio had urban growth boundaries for it's metro's where would you put it?
This may seem a little crazy, but maybe between I-75 & I-71 up to 275. Now that would be some dense urban development.

dmbfanatpsu replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentAte at Palmino's (sp?) last friday and it was packed. We had to wait around 20-25 minutes for a table. This was around 7P.M. Good food.

Ya that sucks about Ocho Rios, something needs to change if that's the kind of crowd it attracts. Get new owners, new policies, something new.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
If the first line isn't the answer, but rather the secondary and tertiary phases are the key....why not build the secondary lines going from UC to downtown and northern KY to downtown first, then build the line downtown once the foot traffic downtown has increased dramatically.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
It is just me or what? but I've read in a few different post now that someone has inquired about who is responsible for the structural engineering. Wonder what that's all about?
