Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I've made the comment as well that I thought portland had a university and hospital right downtown, as if UC and UC hospital were downtown like in OTR or something. Someone told me that I was wrong and that they aren't even close to downtown portland. Does anyone know how close the university and hospital are to actual downtown Portland?

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Yes I would like to know where and when as well. It has been mentioned earlier that a law firm is looking to expand and would move into the building, so we'll have to wait and see.

Cincinnati: State of Downtown
Nice to see the above! Lets hope we keep going in the same direction.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
^Yes very good point. It would be awesome if QSII housed a new company that created a ton of new jobs, but my feeling are that it's going to be a relocation. Hopefully if it is a relocation, that the relocation won't be from another part of downtown or the near area, but from out in the suburbs.

Cincinnati: OTR: North Main Street Discussion
It would work...for example their is a hoohah lounge right on UC's campus across and up the street from where BW3's is. I think a hookah lounge would do well on Main street, just curious as to what kind of people it would initially attract. The smoking of weed would have to be heavily monitored.

Interesting approach.

Cincinnati: Bars / Nightlife News
Well given that if you go to Pleasant Ridge Chili after 2AM on a Friday or Saturday and you have to fight for a table, I would image they would do pretty well. In the warmer months, it would be great to see like a hotdog\pizza\whatever vendor on the street located right around those bars.

I'm very excited for the near future of this city......I wish I had a time machine to warp into the future by 5 years.

I just love Cincinnati's skyline at night. I think it's one of the best in the country.

It would be great if the streetcar would help retain and gain more young professionals.

Cincinnati: Bars / Nightlife News
To me, it seems that 6th & 7th street are gaining momentum as far as bars go. The past few times I've been bar hoping on those two streets, their seems to be tons of people in the bars. The one thing that would be great is if that pizza shop right next to the Lodge bar was open around when the bars closed. The place would be packed with people leaving the bar.

Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
dmbfanatpsu replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentHere is a quick summary of my experience downtown Saturday evening: We went downtownn with my parents who came in from out of town and we first tried Via Vite and Nada, but they were all booked. We then tried Benihana's and they had an hour and half wait. So we then tried Shanghigh Mama's and we ended up eating their, but we had a 20 minute wait. Needless to say, it was great to see so many resturants packed to the rims.

I would agree, I good comedy club on Main St. would be a great place for a comedy club downtown.

Cincinnati: Crime & Safety Discussion

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
It would be cool if some sort of documentary was made for the banks project to be shown on one of those channels like discovery, discovery science, history, TLC, etc...

Downtown Cincinnati: Time for the holidays!
Nice pics......at first I thought it was some homeless man or something sleeping on the rink in pic five.....lol. It is strange how much of a difference their is in weather between Cincinnati and the great lakes area. I moved to Cincinnati from Erie, PA and it's a world of difference. The biggest difference is how much longer the spring\summer is in Cincinnati.

I like the idea of using the honor system for the streetcars. If it's enforced early that will set the tone for the future.

Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens
I love the Cincinnati Zoo and it's always a big hit with my out of town guest, esp. the younger ones. I'm all for the levy.

dmbfanatpsu replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentMy parents are in town this weekend and I would like to go to Nada, but I think we are going to eat at Benihanas. I've never been to Benihanas so I'm looking forward to it. Does anyone know how it's priced compared to Nada?

Forest Park: Forest Fair Mall / Cincinnati Mills Redevelopment
I love bass pro shops, I'll still go wherever they are in the tri-county. As far as the mall, I've only been in the mall a couple times, but I do remember the amount of "mall walkers". It was amazing to see so many "mall walkers" wisking around.

That would be nice if it was a new company to Cincinnati.

Cincinnati: OTR: North Main Street Discussion
I made a comment in another post stating that amount of "shady" looking people just hanging around on the corners on main st. It doesn't look to inviting when you've got groups of riffraff hanging on the corners. It will be interesting to watch.

I listen to WLW700 just for a background sound while I'm at work. I've learned not to take anything to seriously on that show.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
If they do make QSII taller then the Carew Tower, would they build into their agreement that no other building can be taller then QSII? If not, that would just open the door for newer taller skyscrappers to be built.
