  1. I have yet to check out Blue Wisp, but maybe I will this weekend. I've really been digging the 7th street strip of bars lately. We got out of Lodge Bar Saturday night after last call and their was just masses of people out on the sidewalks. Their seemed to be a lack of cabs though as I saw people fighting for them.
  2. That's one thing that I hope more and more places do downtown is extend their hours of operation. On a side note - does anyone have any recommendations as far as a breakfast place open on Sundays downtown?
  3. I can only dream of living in a city that offers a light rail service to downtown.
  4. oh well maybe it wasn't the kind of place for me if that was the case
  5. Oh that stinks...thanks for the info. It caught my eye one day while driving by, it looked like a cool place.
  6. I'm still questioning the place in OTR called Vinyl. Has that placed closed down recently or yet to open?
  7. That would be awesome to live in the pinnacle of the tower.
  8. ^Not only that, but you can listen to WLW700 on XM radio. What a shame that all they will do is trash talk the city when we could use it promote the city to a national audience.
  9. So my wife tells me that an intern at her work was driving back to UC around noon yesterday and was on Main st. She had her windows down due to the nice weather and apparently some man reached into her passenger side window and grabbed her book of CD's and took off. This was right at the light before CUE. I know this is an isolated event, but I just don't understand when you drive up Main St. why their are so many "not so friendly" looking people just hanging around on the corners?
  10. Boy are they just prepairing to tear up the streetcar project on WLW700. They keep advertising for Willy's show at noon called "Project streetcar disaster" AARRGGHHHH...that makes me mad!
  11. Ya I just found that.....my bust. That sucks that it was abandoned.
  12. Interesting find: I just googled beer hall of fame and this is the first hit I got: http://www.realbeer.com/news/articles/news-002355.php
  13. I wouldn't hold your breath.
  14. I know! My parents are coming into town this weekend and we are going to the Aronoff Saturday night. I hope we can find a place to eat!
  15. When the city plans to make its next step, what is it? Voting? Funding? When would this happen?
  16. What are you talking about? the caps don't cover the streets! Just FWW! Yes I was talking about FWW.....and yes I know the view from the highway is the last thing we should be worried about. My point was that I know when I have had relatives\friends visit when I first moved here they made the comment about how "neat" it was to drive between the stadiums and downtown.
  17. This may be a little off subject, but I know someone who audits first group and the company seems to be a little "shady" in business practices.
  18. I wonder about those caps on Ft. Washington way......I think they would be a great addition to lower downtown\banks. But, also I think it will take away from people driving through Cincinnati because it's cool to drive past the stadiums and the front of downtown.
  19. ^I agree, I think having a couple late night runs would be great. When we were in Amsterdam we used the streetcar to get back to our hostle at like 3 in the AM and it sure beat walking.
  20. Yes it will be interesting to see how the banks affects the rest of downtown. I really think it would be great to just put as much residental living on the banks with a few non-chain bars\restaurants\entertainment places. Kind of like the type you find in a typical neighborhood. On the other hand, competition from the banks will be good for the rest of the "entertainment" areas of downtown.
  21. I guess my thinking was bigger cities like Chicago, NYC, LA, etc...seem to have multiple entertainment areas throughout the entire city, not just one district or part of the city where everyone goes. At least I think that's the case, I may be wrong?
  22. Hopefully they don't wreck those buildings...that would suck.
  23. Yes. I would agree, esp. considering this weather and how crappy it is. Just image when the spring\summer roll around. Downtown is going to be off the hook! Too bad I'll be in Bermuda, but I'll be back in two years and can't wait to see what downtown is like in two years!
