  1. So it seems that they are relying on rider revenues....I was hoping the streetcar would be "free" or at least have "free zones", but we'll just have to see. (100 what!)
  2. ^I would second a pool hall as well. A nice place to chill and shoot some pool, maybe throw some darts, etc...That's what I thought Cue was going to be, but I guess I was wrong.
  3. And what is cool is that a number of them are located on 8th Street Downtown...it's a little corridor of sorts with LPK, Deskey, etc. I was unaware of that about 8th Street. Kinda cool.
  4. ^I second that....maybe somewhere in Fountain Square?
  5. Would be cool if they located the office in downtown.
  6. Anything that is open late. Maybe even a late night food place for after the bars close. Or even a City BBQ. I love their food.
  7. Any new developments\rumors involving 4th street?
  8. If they could pull it off and close off Main St. to vehicles, but still alow the streetcars to pass through, that would be awesome.
  9. Yes. A bar with live music would be cool.
  10. That video was not what I thought it was going to be.....kinda of strange from the fact that I'm not to sure what they were getting at? The two point they made were fine, but could have used more content.
  11. I would like to see a local bar\restaurant in one of those spots, something other then the big named chain bars\restaurants.
  12. I agree with what you said....it seems most of the native cincinnatians are the ones who are negative. I'm not orignally from Cincinnati and most of my friends here in Cincinnati are concidently people who have moved to Cincinnati from elsewhere. Most all of them have positive things to say about Cincinnati.
  13. ^Great news to hear! We were downtown Saturday night and we where all thinking of how nice it would have been to be able to use the streetcar to bar hop. We started at Omaily's in the Aley and ended up on 7th and finally Main St.
  14. Does anyone have an info on any other new places that scheduled to open around FS, or are all the parcels filled now?
  15. That's great to hear. I've been making a point to order it when I go out as well as make everyone I'm out with at least order it and try it. I'm just curious as to what this is based on?
  16. I spent Saturday night downtown and most of the restaurants around Fountain Square all seems packed. Good to see. Plus 7th street was crazy packed with people everywhere. I just can't believe their isn't more late night after the bars close food to eat around town.
  17. My thinking is why does Cincinnati need a single dedicated "entertainment district"? Why not just think of the entire city as an entertainment district. If things keep going the way they are going for downtown, having several small "pockets" of bars\clubs spread throughout the city will benefit the city. It keeps people throughout the entire space of downtown and not just concentrated in one particular spot. With having several different "hot spots" throughout the city, the need and use of a streetcar will be more disireable. Also, when people are moving from one set of bars to another, they are more likely to stop at places in between to get food and what not.
  18. Has anyone been to Mr. Pitifuls recently? I'm looking to go out somewhere new, but I don't want to go to a place that is strickly a "dance club". I was thinking club cue because I was under the impression it was a bar\pool hall, but it seems to be more of a dance club.
  19. I don't think it will be a fnacy stip mall.....just for the fact that people will be living at the banks. I was just in Chicago last week and stayed with some friends in Wrigleyville\Lincoln Park and it would be nice if the banks ended up with that kind of feel. The density of people and time are gonna be the determing factor in the success of the banks. The catch is, is that most attractive urban neighborhoods are organic and not created.
  20. I haven't been to either Via Vite nor Nada yet, but I think that's where these restaurants\bars are going wrong. When they have the same interior design company do both interiors for both restaurants. I think they should have stayed away from using the same interior design company. Hopefully the banks project is holding true about what they are proposing and that is to use several different architure firms.
  21. http://www.cincinnati-transit.net/deercreek.html Link to info about deer creek tunnel for anyone who is interested.
  22. Is a Chipotle opening on the square?
  23. Streetcar to union terminal would be awesome! It's a shame that if you visiting downtown you almost have to drive a car to get to union terminal.
