Lakewood
Hi All- I signed a lease in Lakewood! By Madison and Bunts. It's a pretty nice place, I love it. :) Because of the stipulations of my old lease, unless I find someone, I will have to still pay June rent. I have posted ads on craigslist, cle backpages and pluggedincleveland. Anywhere else you can think of I can post? Thanks!

Thoughts?! I know it's in a "less developed" area... is the crime bad?

Lakewood
Right now I live in Tremont with a roommate, but am looking at possibly relocating to Lakewood to live alone. Where are the "good" areas to live? I don't know much about Lakewood, but it seems like a nice community for a young single professional. Any help would be great! As an FYI, in Tremont, I live right by the park in a house, gated parking, laundry, etc.

Cleveland- Painter's Union Apartments
do the radiators not work? the electric baseboards can be a good solution where it is particularly cold or no other heat options exist. i would imagine that trying to heat the entire unit on electric baseboards could get expensive though. they keep the radiators on all the time at 50-55 and then the electric is to supplement.

it's not right against the window, there is a radiator with a box over it by the window and probably about 2 feet between that and the stove.

yes, they are the same. there are 8 units in the building, with one rented so far. they are pretty nice, i was just wondering about the area since it is a little farther out from the center of ohio city. Here is a link to pictures that my bf took: http://www.fabiens.org/gallery/v/jeff/Apartments/Detroit/ Also, it has electric baseboard heat with the controls on each baseboard. what do you all think of that? thanks for the info.

Cleveland - W 67th and Detroit
I'm moving from Stow, so I'm familiar with Cleveland. I just don't know specifics of areas and there aren't really many people I can ask who don't have unbiased opinions. I figured here would be a good place to talk to people who actually live in or near the area in question.

Cleveland - W 67th and Detroit
I was never suggesting the area was less than desirable, I was just trying to get some unbiased input about the area to help me make a decision. I know all areas have crime, I just wanted to get a feel about what it would realistically be like to be live there. Also, I know I can park right in front of the house, it's just a little walk back to the door and I didn't want to get jumped in the alley or something.

It is about 1/2 block before Herman. I am most concerned about if we park on the street and walk a few blocks to our house, will we get mugged. Also concerned about cars being stolen/broken into. We are younger (25) single women and we just want to be safe! I had heard that the Convenient Food Mart on Detroit and 59th was scary.

Hello All- I need some unbiased opinions. I am looking at renting a house on W 67th north of Detroit by Herman. What is your opinion of the area? I know that Battery Park is nearby and there are a lot of nice condos near the lake. I also know that it is 1 block from "Italiantown." Is the area safe??? Thanks for your help! :-D
