If they ride around once, maybe they will get the idea to get off at a stop along the way next time!

Why not do what Northside did with the pay box lots off of Hamilton Ave?

They did. It's called Newport on the Levee.

Is that the American flag in the middle? It looks so out of place...

Ohio Census / Population Trends & Lists
That string of blue dots is all the condo and townhome developments strung along Riverside Dr. and Eastern Ave and probably includes Mt. Adams, and the parts of Walnut Hills that overlook the river. That is definitely not the west side. Cincinnati's downtown is located on the southwestern part of that strand.

Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
What's really annoying is that some places are serving just "flats", and other places do not separate the wings. I don't know if those places have a stack of drums and a stack of flats or what happens to the undesired part of the wing. I just can't believe that someone is so finicky as to declare some preference for one part of a chicken wing versus another. I hated living in the south because I was constantly derided for eating plain food without heaps of sauce and sour cream and gravy and whatever else on it. It was their way of getting back at me for weighing under 350 pounds. The absurd economics of chicken wings could possibly be usurped if turkey necks ever emerged from the South like the sudden rise of Nashville Hot Chicken, which nobody in Nashville had heard of until 2 years ago. Google supports Jake's Nashville Hot Chicken theory- http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=Nashville%20chicken%2C%20nashville%20hot%20chicken&cmpt=q&tz=Etc%2FGMT%2B5 Perhaps we are reaching "Peak Chicken". Returning to the subject of flats vs. drums, I broached the subject last week or the week before with a coworker, and he said his wife only eats the flats because she thinks there is some risk that the drums are undercooked. Okay, if you've ever worked at a place that fries chicken in a professional fryer, be it the custom pressure cookers at KFC (375F for 16:30 or a typical open oven, you know that chicken is being cooked at 400 degrees for at least 10 minutes. A chicken wing is like the smallest amount of meat there is. There's no way the drum of a chicken wing isn't thoroughly cooked after 10 minutes of swimming around in a couple gallons of 400 degree oil. Over the weekend, I had my first experience with a restaurant that does not separate the two parts of the wing, in Oakland. Not only was it more difficult to eat (I ripped them apart myself anyway) but it messed up the wing math. I ordered 6 wings expecting to get 6 wing-halves but actually got 6 full wings, equivalent to 12 wing-halves. Neuf also serves their chicken wings full wing style.

Just need to work on the former Neon's space and Joe's Diner...

Cincinnati: Western Hills Viaduct
It would just need to be enough to cover the cost of debt service from issuing bonds to pay for the construction.

This site proposal is all weird. Why is the wider street on the left? None of the other buildings seem to match with existing building footprints. Actually this site looks to be on the southwest side of Race and Liberty.

That is Queen City Underground. Also Streetpops was announced for that location.

I've been wondering as well. Have seen anything on it at all. Looks like we have our answer: 3CDC acquires big parcel on Liberty Street By Chris Wetterich The Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. has acquired a half-acre property at Liberty and Elm streets along the streetcar line but does not yet have plans for it, according to a spokesman for the non-profit developer. 3CDC bought 1566 Elm St. for $1.5 million and closed on the sale earlier this month, according to Hamilton County auditor’s records.

This is actually a really pragmatic plan to spur financing for future caps. I wonder how they are going to assemble the match for the grant.

They call that "the Mecklenborg effect."

Cincinnati: General Transit Thread
Even though Cincinnati's economy is barely growing, the region is undergoing demographic shifts in preference. Urban walkable is in and suburbs are beginning to choose to stay on the same path or to urbanize (See Blue Ash Summit Park Development). Developing a better transportation system that shifts people away from single occupancy automobiles makes sense from a continued growth standpoint. The other thing is that while Cincinnati lacks a big port, it is still the center of several powerful corporations like P&G and Macy's who need to continue to attract high quality talent to the region. What is one way to do that? By building a city you can recruit to. And good transit is part of that equation.

^Sadly this is not a real project that is happening. It was something done prior to Skyhouse being announced.

Cincinnati: Urban Grocery Stores
Meanwhile, in the rest of major cities' downtowns... Its really complicated because they probably want to add the drive-thru pharmacy and gas station they put in every new store and the city won't let them.

Cincinnati: Avondale: Development and News
No the abandoned right-of-way becomes part of the facility. It looks like the intersection at Wilson and Hearne Ave will become a 3-way T intersection which will be a headache to navigate with the Erkenbrecker S just mere feet away.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I spoke with an officer checking tickets on the streetcar the other day and he said almost everyone that rides has a ticket and he rarely every has to issue citations. It appears fare evasion is low.
