Cincinnati: Bicycling Developments and News
This is about increasing the amount of casual bicycling. Toe clips aren't going to do that. There will always be a certain group of people that are road warriors: Reflective vests, helmets, toe clips or even the shoes that clip into the pedals, etc. They will want to ride on the road and they will insist the everyone else should ride in the road because that is the way it is. It's not. Get over yourself and build a protected bike lane already!

Cincinnati: CUF / Corryville: Development and News
This was initially adopted due to the communities reaction to demolition of Christy's and Clifton Natural Foods for the Verge on Clifton and McMillan. Community members wanted pushed for a form-based code at the time.

Northern Kentucky: Random Development and News
That is also a pre-Route 9 with roundabouts rendering. I have a feeling what will be built there will look quite different.

Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
To each his own Jake. I'm a huge fan of chicken wings and Raising Canes. I think what Canes does well is they have a simple menu and do chicken fingers well. As for wings, I'm a huge fan of Knockback Nats and I see all types of demographics there.

Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
The one from Columbus is owned by the one in Cleveland. Its a chain.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
This is another example of my biggest problem with his thinking: it seems like its always a beggars can't be choosers mentality vs sticking to the vision of the plan. Can the Banks have a LC Pavilion style venue? Sure. But on prime developable land that has entitlement rights for more office, residential and a second hotel? No. Find somewhere else to put it like in the park, in the practice field, where the asphalt plant is. That's fine. Don't spend millions of dollars to raise land out of the floodplain for something that isn't worth it.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I did a map a few years ago visualizing what the NKY route would be. Ultimately as was mentioned a few posts ago there would be 2 routes. One going west on 2/3rd to CW Bailey and then running east on 4/5th. A Newport leg would go west on 2/3rd down the Taylor Southgate bridge and connect over to the Covington spur. Additionally you could run a spur down Greenup and Monmouth or utilize the Purple People Bridge to some degree. In order for a Covington spur to work it needs to adequately connect the Riverfront by the Roebling, Madison/Pike and Mainstrasse.

^ I think they painted the double white since that photo was taken. Also look at that tiny Southbank Shuttle!

Cincinnati: Downtown: 84.51°
I would support demolition if it increases the amount of developable land from consolidating the various ramps connecting to the highway. But I don't think it will.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Urban Fast Forward, a real estate and planning consultant firm will be in the old Atomic #10 space on Main starting at the end of the month.

Cincinnati: Liberty Street Road Diet
I think preserving on-street parking is essential and it might be more important than having the protected bike lanes. We also have to remember the 3 lane option is still five lanes when parking is included. Bump outs not only reduce the number of lanes a person has to cross but also eliminates the possibility of using those as rush hour lanes.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
Second time in 10 years the QB is injured by Pittsburgh. Ugh!

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
All those places you mentioned are way more integrated into their city's cores than the Banks is. Also I don't see H&M or Prada there, they belong closer to Fountain Square.

Cincinnati: Downtown: 580 Building
This project has gone on longer than the streetcar has been under construction!
