Cincinnati: Complete Streets, Road Diets, and Traffic Calming
Does this impact the subway's ventilation at all? I know this administration could care less about what's under Central Parkway but most of these choices could make it harder to use the tunnels in the future.

Cincinnati: Brent Spence Bridge
I wonder if there are ways to keep the current bridge but change/streamline the onramp and offramp situation on the Cincinnati side. For example, completing the 3rd street onramp to North I-75 that was partially built during FWW construction and closing the 4th street on ramp. Also there is an opportunity to craft an exit to the Clay-Wade Baily bridge from I-75 south with an exit ramp, something that is in the rebuild plan already. Couple those two with a potential reconfiguration of how 6th and 8th meet the highway, and we could get better access and potentially reclaim some downtown land from cars.

I agree. Making the #31 and #51 more efficient and frequent here will go a long way for connectivity through Uptown.

We're also missing the fact that the small 2-story to the south of The Chong also used to be 7 stories.

Cincinnati: South Fairmount: Development and News
There are crosswalks (I drove this stretch last Friday) but they are not well placed and there are fewer on the Westwood Ave side. Another concern I have is that it appears both sides have rush-hour restricted parking. I wanted to stop and check out the park on the Westwood side but decided against risking a crash in a lane nobody else was parking in.

Cincinnati City Council
Looks like it happened in August actually. Either way, this is the kind of passive endorsement that lent credibility to these more extreme factions of the political right.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Western & Southern Headquarters
Collaborative professions like planning, architecture, and design benefit from in-person interactions so I would see those also returning to mostly office. But @taestell is correct. There will be more flexibility, it will depend on the industry and at what level someone is in that industry.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Western & Southern Headquarters
Jobs with highly conservative corporate culture like insurance and other financial jobs will almost 100% be back in the office. While I don't think the TMUD tax credits were developed for any Lytle Park projects directly, a potential new HQ building would most likely exceed the $50 million needed to qualify.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
I agree. Also there is a high churn rate for restaurants anyway. With some closures, like A Tavola, second-gen spaces are an opportunity to bring in new blood to the district with lower TI costs.

I recall a DOTE rep saying in a town hall that we can't do two-way Main because of all the double parking.

Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
Update on the Social OTR space. Apparently Elm Street Social Club is built on nostalgia for the 90's: Cincinnati chef opens nostalgic restaurant in Over-the-Rhine: PHOTOS A nostalgic '80s- and '90s-themed restaurant that's hearkens back to big-city bodegas and delis of those decades has opened in a shuttered restaurant space adjacent to Findlay Market. Chef Jordan Anthony-Brown, who is opening the Aperture in Walnut Hills, opened the Elm St. Social Club at 1819 Elm St. across from Findlay Market. The restaurant held a soft opening the week of Oct. 19. Flip through the photos above for a preview.

No, it means their 10 year lease it up and it would be more trouble for them to renew or go month to month than to just move on.

There was talk about doing a fundraiser to restore the spire when they were working on the building but WHFR changed leadership. It could come back, you never know.
