That's what I meant, an example of the architects work, not of the site. Sorry for the confusion.

  11. I just bought this book but I've read plenty of articles by the author. She's very good at talking about the history of the urban form, and describing the transect and fbc's: http://www.amazon.com/City-Rules-Regulations-Affect-Urban/dp/1597266922

  14. I think the numbers speak for themselves and jbcmh81 has done an excellent analysis. Also, please remember to be respectful of Ohio's cities on this board.
  15. The poll is not limited to one vote per one computer like most other online polls so a person could theoretically sit their all day (maybe at a public library) and continuously click for Toronto. I can only think of a handful of people who really have the time to do such a thing...
  16. And to add to the mystery I just found out they are trucking dirt from the casino site downtown to the Dayton riverfront!
  17. Southbank Partners put in a request for funds for the feasibility study on this a few weeks ago. I'll know for sure in a few weeks if they got money for this project.

It looks like they have been pretty successful in renting it out as office space.
  19. I've been told for the past 2 years that they are waiting for the Rt. 9 rebuild coming from the AA Highway. Not sure when this is happening.

  22. Didn't they go bankrupt?
  23. 3CDC has begun to acknowledge pre-development for this project in their more recent presentations. 3CDC 2010-2011 Annual Report
  24. I've heard a vicious rumor that the private land in this development has been foreclosed upon.
  25. I don't think they are really going to do anything. The configuration of on and off ramps in that area is pretty confusing to someone who is not very familiar with it. If a new street lines up with the exit ramp from N71 (which I think it is) then traffic back-up could be contained in the development, at least in theory. Of course, this does not account for increased back up along Edwards Rd for access to N71 or backup along Edmonson Rd for going South on 71 after those lights turn and those cars pull out. They can retime the lights but it's still going to be a pain. In short, it's going to be a traffic nightmare!
