Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
It seems like the only thing the Haslams are successful at is pitting Clevelanders against each other.

Cleveland: I-X Center
Have they ever figured out a way to connect Public Hall with the new convention center?

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
Supply and Demand If tax money is being used to build an NFL JImmyworld with hotels and restaurants, the supply goes up, and unless there is a corresponding increase in tourist dollars to absorb the new venues, existing businesses and neighborhoods suffer. It would be one thing if it was a private development, but the fact that it will be public dollars that primarily benefits the Haslams while pretty much everyone else loses a little does not sit with me right. It's another Pontiac SIlverdome

One change that would help me swallow the Brook Park site is if the site had a rapid transit stop. That way downtown could still get a bit of pre and post game crowds.

Just to add wild speculation - if the powers that be want a downtown stadium, could the site of the CSU Wolstien Center, along with neighboring blocks be an option? Assuming the land can be made available?

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Maybe just my opinion, but I think the SW tower does a great job uniting the skyline. It could be that it just fills a gap, but my thinking is that because it is a bit shorter than the big 3, it helps bridge the gap between our other skyscrapers and the big 3, leading to a more cohesive skyline

Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport
If Burke can't be closed, I hope they look at maybe reconfiguring it so that some of the land next to North Coast Harbor can be freed up for development. Is this possible? No clue. There is a lot more land there now than when Burke was opened, and maybe the runways do not need to be so long.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
With an extended E 18th street.....would that make it easier to have a waterfront line loop, or no real impact either way?

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Just a suggestion, maybe we can copy Milwaukee's lakefront and build a festival grounds, next to North Coast Harbor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Maier_Festival_Park https://www.summerfest.com/grounds-map/

Besides Pilot and Flying J, and the Columbus Crew, what other business interests do the Haslams have besides the Browns?
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
just to clarify, my (dumb) question is asking if the purched land could be used as an airport to replace Burke.
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
this is a dumb question so I don’t mind being smacked down. Is there any feasibility to this land purchase being able to accommodate air traffic from Burke? If this is possible, then maybe a land swap might be an option. (to bring it back to the conversation - the only land east of downtown I can think of is Burke)

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
I am going to look at this as glass half full If this owner of the Browns is frustrated with the government support offered to him he’s going to move within Cuyahoga county not to another Metropolitan area. I just can’t see how this isn’t a “ just in case” plan B or C. Maybe the price of the property was worth buying as an insurance policy. Maybe it’ll just be the worlds largest pilot truckstop [Awkward smile]

One thing to consider on a dome vs open air, is that the NFL schedule has been expanding deeper into winter. Not too long ago NFL season was only in fall, with playoffs in late Dec & early Jan with the Super Bowl in late Jan.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway Megaproject
did the city require the parking garage to come down? Was it recently in service for parking?
